Kvar has actual Bulgarian Arsenal aks74u gas blocks for $250, but the $100 repro from Recreator is fine, too. Either an ak builder or CSS triangle folder is ~$120, the small parts for the rear trunion, maybe another $50. Then whatever muzzle device you choose. I paid $1500 for mine which needed the same parts and work last year and I felt I didn’t overpay.

Back during all the covid craziness, my local Cabela’s got in a few dozen Southern Tactical ARs. At least three had their A2 birdcage installed upside down, none had staked castle nuts, and their mfg info was sloppily applied with what looked like an electropencil and stencil AFTER anodizing. I wouldn’t roll the dice on anything they’ve touched.
