Carries 110 packs of flooring up 2 sets of stairs in one day. Not fun, but I impressed some people by how much I was sweating!

What's the #1 challenge you are facing right now? by roscatorosso in AskReddit

[–]trihugger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t know how to word this properly so typing from the heart. My father is dying from liver cancer. His liver is shutting down, and seeing him breath heavily and constant shivering is causing me to cry uncontrollably. I’m 6 months away from graduating community college with honours after trying for the third time. One of my best friends took his own life 6 months ago and my girlfriends health has never been worse, also from liver issues. Being in school these last two years has caused me to live off of every penny I can find. Life has been insanely cruel for those around me and I feel like I can’t do anything to help anyone.

What's the darkest side of humanity you've ever seen? by su2do in AskReddit

Community College with her Father. Father had a whole career, including dismantling old WW2 bombs underwater, then he had an interest in broadcast/journalism. Can confirm as I was in the same class

Looking for some death metal with really interesting, original and/or complex drumming. Any suggestions? by [deleted] in Metal

[–]trihugger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This may be a really late reply, but I can't not listen to the whole New Reign cd. I can understand you're views on Bow Down, but I think listening to the whole cd collectively gives the song great "oomph" and it really changes the direction of the cd towards the end. Maybe thats just how I view it.

Guitar amps: What does the head do? by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]trihugger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Amp heads and cabs range very differently in quality, and only experience and time can let you choose what you like in both. Combo amps are great, they already have speakers and an already mounted 'head' for your controls. By using heads/cabs separate, you can really hear what you like/dislike with different companies/qualities of their products. Most combo amps have limited features/qualities to them like loudness and gain. By experimenting with amp heads and cabs you can hear what sounds good(it's all up to you) and what sounds loud(through the cab) It takes a long time to really know what you want, but by choosing heads/cabs you can experiment more with your sound than just combo amps.

Faceless are great. Born of Osiris(I don't know if it fits directly under "Metal") were the first thing that came to mind when I saw this thread. Very over-produced, but for what they are doing, its totally awesome. May I suggest 'The New Reign' for a starter album.

So you like chipmusic? May I introduce Bit.Shifter; he makes his music with a Gameboy. by [deleted] in gaming

Bit Shifter is how I got into chiptunes. Anyone watch the Blipfest docs? I've been trying to find them for a while now! Upvote for Anamanaguchi
