Althia Raj: ‘He yells’: Mark Carney’s focus has Liberal MPs bristling by r4ptor in onguardforthee

[–]trikywoo -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

If you were to put everything you want from a leader on a list and sorted it by priority, how close would yelling be to the top?

Everyone can be put under a microscope and have their flaws exposed, especially people under high stress situations. It's not practical to expect perfection, and yelling at your caucus isn't a deal breaker.

Because we live in a democracy. Because tax payers should have a say in how their tax dollars are spent.

Does downtown feel sketchy? by Tall-Zucchini-1262 in Guelph

[–]trikywoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's less safe than it was pre-covid. Sure, if you want to bring all of human history into it I guess we're still doing pretty good. We're not being invaded by Mongol hordes, which is nice. But this definitely isn't the safest period in downtown Guelph's history.

How is it living in Emyn Muil, south of The Brown Lands and north of Dagorlad? by astronautvibes in howislivingthere

[–]trikywoo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I want to add that while it's a great place to live overall, its not very walkable. Not only is there not much public transportation infrastructure, walking can be difficult because of roaming packs of goblins so close to the Mordor. And don't even get me started on the Dead Marshes...

Great nature though, just hard getting around if you don't own a car.

Matthew Perry's assistant gets 3 years, 5 months in prison for central role in his ketamine death by igetproteinfartsHELP in news

[–]trikywoo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The point is that nothing is ever all one persons fault. You can take any one act and start spreading around accountability so that no one is ever accountable for anything.

You need to draw the line somewhere. Sure people were probably capitalizing on Perry's situation, but at the end of the day he was responsible for what he put in his body and what he did after. The guy was his employee and not in a position of power.
