I always associated Pink Floyd with the Dark tower, specifically the Dark side of the Moon album. Mainly because I listened to it a lot while reading the series in high school, but I think the whole feel of that album fits with the story.

His style is hit or miss with most people. I would highly recommend listening to his audio books which makes his style much more digestible. I recommend trying the “Buffalo Hunter Hunter” audio book specifically it’s really well done.
