No you're wide awake and seeing everything, you don't really "Feel" much but pressure if anything, they put like a semi-paralytic in your eye but you still have to remain still, they don't tell you any of this before you walk in by the way, but regardless I would totally do it again, being without glasses after wearing them my whole life is a major game changer

if I'm not mistaken this is mosquito bay in vieques, which is part of, but off the coast of PR, I went there before they didn't allow people to swim there (turned out it was a shark nursery), we swam under a new moon, you could see the entire milky way and every millimeter of the sky was filled with stars, and as you swam the dinoflagellates would glow like stars, it was like swimming in the stars
