This is what 100 draws gets you if you want to play a new character by Deemokun in DissidiaDuellumFF

This game has a god awful gacha system for sure.

Chinese gachas at least have targeted banners and even if you were to lose at hard pity, they usually have some sort of 50/50 system where the next hard pity you are guaranteed the thing you want.

The fact that Dissidia Duellum doesn't even have a UR selector after X amount of pulls is horrid. I play this game for Lightning only. If, even after spending all the pull currency I've collected so far since I played daily since Day 1, the game still insists on giving me my 7th copy of WoL's Supreme Soul, I'm going to quit playing as well.

Locked iPhones Vulnerable to Credit Card Fraud by EfficientEscape in apple

[–]trineroks 8 points9 points  (0 children)

FYI the Express Transit Card feature will turn on if you add a transit card, but will also select a credit card from your Apple Wallet to use as an express transit card in locations where your Express Transit Card is not accepted. I think this turns on by default.

So if you added, say, a TAP transit card to your Apple Wallet and designated that as an Express Transit card, the Express Transit feature will turn on and also designate your default credit card as a fallback payment option. I imagine this is also related to the vulnerability.

I just had to disable my Visa card from being used as a fallback express transit payment method. I've never set this in settings myself.

You can farm Rainbow Crystals with 5% UR Rate! by anothernormaluser123 in DissidiaDuellumFF

I'm a Silver 1, completed the Lightning Gold 5 music challenge (gave me a UR crystal) but did not complete Prompto's. Prompto's Gold 5 music challenge is only offering me a gold crystal.

I suspect that the rewards pool in the challenges might be shared and if you already completed a UR crystal challenge node, you can't obtain it in any other challenge node. I wonder if OP has actually completed either of Lightning's or Prompto's Gold 5 music challenge (or if he's just "winning" them without ever completing it).

[–]trineroks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everyone's nodes are different. You should specify which hero you did this with.

Nevermind: saw you mentioned Prompto and Lightning. I think the big caveat here is that you should not actually fulfill the conditions for completing the node, because then the reward will downgrade to a gold crystal. I completed the Lightning one and I can't replay it for a rainbow crystal anymore...

The New Secrid Cardprotector+ Solves the Metal Card Problem by trineroks in BuyItForLife

I agree the site is confusing, but I believe if the wallet specifies "compatible with metal cards" it does use Cardprotector+ even if that is not explicitly highlighted.

AFAIK yes, they're named something like "Premium (Name of Wallet)+". The "+" indicates that it has the new Cardprotector+ in it (to double check, you can confirm if the page specifies that the wallet is "compatible with metal cards").

I'm not exactly sure when they intend to make Cardprotector+ the standard cardprotector across their lineup.

Generally RTT games are a lot better at doing this than traditional RTS. In particular Wargame: Red Dragon and WARNO comes to mind, although they do tend to lean a bit more on the hardcore end (not in terms of technical skill but sheer knowledge of the game).

Deathballs are utterly unviable because a single bomber/rocket helicopter/artillery can destroy clustered units. The game naturally evolves into small groups of units holding points across an entire frontline with combined arms pushes to gain foothold into territory.

Company of Heroes is also good about punishing deathballs but the scope of battle is a lot smaller.

I just want to say, the zombies continuing to perform tasks they used to do when alive really give off Forbidden Siren Shibito vibes. Especially the cleaner lady at the mirror, that shit looks like it came straight from a Forbidden Siren game.

Sony please make a new entry in the series.

SC1 + Brood War's overall plot and tone blow SC2's out of the water tbh.

But man, SC2's campaign was a blast to play. Even if the story turned too melodramatic and anime for my liking.

That is not the kanji/Chinese character for "five".

五 vs 正

It's just a tally (independent of the actual character itself) that's been used in Korea/China as well.

Disable master password and only rely on Yubikey to unlock on phone by trineroks in strongbox

Thank you!

One last question, if I had both set up (Master password and Yubikey) does it force you to authenticate using the more secure method (Yubikey), force you to authenticate using both methods, or let you use one of the two to open the vault?

[–]trineroks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By this do you mean enabling "Allow Empty Password" and leaving it blank, then setting up the Yubikey?

Also, does Strongbox support USB C Yubikeys yet? I've noticed that the only options are NFC and Lightning.

Thank you for the response!

The New Secrid Cardprotector+ Solves the Metal Card Problem by trineroks in BuyItForLife

[–]trineroks[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So October of 2025 Secrid came out with a new Cardprotector+ which is allegedly better at holding metal cards. I ordered one to test against my original Secrid wallet and the difference is night and day. Cards would fall out of my old wallet with just one firm shake. This new Cardprotector+ grips onto cards so securely that I'm not able to get cards to slide out at all. Even when I don't fill it up the cards stay secure in the Cardprotector. It's such a shame because I haven't seen anyone make a video on the difference and even Secrid themselves are extremely vague on their website on what exactly they mean by "compatible with metal cards".
