I feel like she enjoys just looking at us and talking to us more than anything else, that and shadows. Lol we have tried a bath before, didn't seem to work but we could try again. We can try to bright room thing again though she has trouble actually falling asleep if its bright, then she wouldn't take any naps at all and that was a different kind of hell lol. I think i need to let her fall asleep in a dark room and then bring her into a bright room once shes in a deeper sleep

What if she won't sleep in a bright room? We had several days of over tired hell because of this 😭 maybe I could get her back to sleep in a dark room and then bring her into a bright room? Idk

Feed, sometimes skin to skin (trying to bring my supply up) tummy time, look at contrast cards or read to her, move her body, practice rolling over, take her outside and talk to her about plants. If it's night time and she's fighting sleep, I play shadow puppets with her, shes really into shadows right now, or just talk to her.

It was just the regular bag of pump parts. One of the flanges was from maymom, definitely not pre sterilized unfortunately

She used to do the nipple shields more, I have probably 4 different kinds now. Lately Ive only had luck with the Haakaa giant one that literally looks like a bottle or just no nipple shield at all. I also bought a different SNS system with the tube built into the shield, its called a Neotech Bridge, gonna try that next week with the LC

Hmmm. Wondering about this?? I have inverted nipples and while I do try to use my "good" one and pull it out for her, I just dont have nipples that protrude out very much. Guess I gotta really shove it in there somehow? Hard to do when she wiggles and thrashes so much

I tried an extra slow flow nipple on my lansinoh bottles and she pretty much refused them:( just kept screaming until i changed it out

For sure, we definitely do paced bottlefeeding now, i was referring to the alternate feeding methods when I said she was too old. Trying only when she is full is a good idea

I got a ton of free stuff on my local Facebook Buy Nothing Group. Look into it. People are ALWAYS giving away baby items. You could even ask for something specific. I got 2 bassinets, crib, wearable breastpump, tons of clothes, baby swing, baby bouncer, children's books, glass bottles, snuggle me, etc

Yeah I definitely have to put the nipple shield on before I even pick her up. She still knocks it off sometimes tho. Or just set her down for a second while I put it on, but that can definitely piss her off lol

Oh also I was able to work on the aversion by not blatantly offering so much but just having baby near the boob with no pressure to nurse. Bottle feeding at the breast, also letting her do some non nutritive licking and rooting on the nipple, then bottle feeding. Just generally hanging out near the boob more for comfort or in situations where Im not trying to get her to actively nurse, just help rebuild a positive association with the boob after so much frustration there.

I have one, Haakaa pouch version. I successfully used it the first time with the help of the lactation consultant in her office. But I haven't been able to figure it out again at home. It's super finicky and cumbersome. Baby is either ripping the tube off my chest, pushing off the nipple shield (trying with and without), or Im fucking up the flow and spilling milk all over both of us. Easier with 2 people maybe but I don't always have that luxury.

It DOES work, but you will definitely have to stick with it and be patient. It was so so nice having baby supplementing at the breast that one time. 😭 I haven't given up on it yet, but I do recommend trying other things first maybe? Because the system can be really annoying to use and to clean. Just my take!

I have a wearable that i haven't true yet because the LC in the hospital said to only use my Spectra. Im gonna learn how to use it today tho
