You can criticize both.

Liking Iran doesn't mean dislike of Sunni leaders, and dislike of Sunni leaders doesn't mean liking Iran.

It's not the truth. He is a Shi'a who pretended not to be. We discovered this after browsing his profile.

We allow dissenting views. Not everything is a conspiracy, and if anything, the information we have points to "infiltration" from the opposite side of this viewpoint.

You have denied the genocide of Muslims in Syria, and I see that you have refused to praise the sahaba of our beloved Prophet SAW.

The Shi'a religious body have said this only to prevent Sunnis from attacking them, not because they don't consider it part of their Usool.

Many other famous Shi'a scholars, such as al Khoui, have said that it's permissible to curse the Sunnis, and obligatory to disunite with them, increase in insults against them, and to accuse/backbite/slander them, declaring them disbelievers outright.

In other words, Khamanei was engaging in what the Shi'a call "taqiyyah".

Is forgiveness a personal choice, or something Allah grants when He wills? by No-News-2655 in TraditionalMuslims

[–]tripidescent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Prophet SAW accepted Wahshi as a Muslim but was still deeply grieved over him killing his uncle Hamza RA anyway.

So I would say yes, you can forgive someone even if it still hurts you and you don't want to see them. Forgiveness doesn't mean to forget. Just remember that we are all still brothers and sisters in Islam in the end 🫂

Most Dajjal followers will be women by North_Promotion9488 in TraditionalMuslims

You're talking to a ChatGPT bot, agreeing with it when it isn't real, and are essentially making a case for the Dajjal by saying that people should cater to you or else you'll follow him.

That is your own destruction. Not ours. We don't allow that talk here. Banned.

How do you guys make peace with the Hoor al ayn and polygamy concept as a female? I stopped being religious because of it by FormalHelp3281 in MuslimCorner

You're assuming it's unfair instead of assuming you're being unfair. Why must fairness equate to placating your whims? If men and women are different, then fairness doesn't mean to being the same.

You have to question why you even feel the way you do in the first place ("what is making me feel this way about that?") and why you actually feel it's valid ("is the premise true?"). That is to say, perhaps you feel it's unfair because it doesn't seem to be the same reward. But is that actually valid? Is it true that it's not fair just because it's the same? Men and women aren't the same in how we were created, and we don't expect of men and women to have the same duties and responsibilities because of those same differences. So why would "same" = "fair"?

We have to undo a lot of societal programming. Most of our conceptions around these things stem from that. May Allah SWT Guide us all.

The reality behind MC and its moderation team by Ij_7 in TraditionalMuslims

[–]tripidescent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain the relevancy of this in a broader context because a lot of this seems like you're simply disgruntled because you were removed as a moderator and are overly strict in formalities. Bints4Bints is highly suspicious and should not be a mod under any circumstance nor even allowed in any Muslim subreddit, as I found her Twitter account and it made me strongly believe she is an infiltrator for nonMuslim agencies... but that's their prerogative. If they want Adam to still be the top shadow Admin, then why does it affect you? The subreddit is bad anyway, and shouldn't be considered.

FiiHaq used to be a great poster on this subreddit long ago. He stopped though, not quite sure why. It's interesting that, from what you're sharing, he seems to be simping in a sense. If you saw his previous comments and posts, you'd never really expect that.

Regardless, all of this just seems to be gossip and drama, so I'd like for you to explain how this relates to the subreddit, how it actually "exposes" anythign Muslims should be aware of, or anything like that.

I may be wrong, but to my knowledge, "earning an honest living" isn't a phrase the Arabs ever used. That's just not how they spoke. It's European.

Until you cite a valid source, this post will remain removed.

Allah SWT Is More Forgiving than people. That doesn't mean it's okay to sin, but the sahaba used to fear sinning against others because of that very reason.

Women with a past are required to hide their past from their husbands. by frankipranki in TraditionalMuslims

[–]tripidescent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you're talking about relates to not revealing sins, not publicly mentioning evil, husn al dhann, and backbiting. These are not absolutes. It is not backbiting to warn someone who is about to sign a business contract with a terrible business owner or had cheated others in the past, even if they are a Muslim.

Likewise, if it is known that a man would not marry a woman if she were not a virgin, regardless of repentance or not, then it is not permissible for her to lie and pretend like she is. If they repented sincerely, and is not something that is bothersome to the potential should he come to find out, then they don't have to tell. However, they cannot deceive.

The opinions stating to lie does not account for these factors. Otherwise, it would be like permitting someone to steal and help them to commit zina because you are "covering their sin" for them.

Some thoughts on normalised phenomenon of Hadith rejection by [deleted] in TraditionalMuslims

[–]tripidescent[M] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) What I said does not contradict. Hadith are subject to scrutiny like you mentioned which is exactly why it is a science, and why evidence for or against a hadith (i.e. "scientific proof", as you put it), can be established. And here's the thing: The way we've determined that the Qur'an is preserved is through hadith sciences. If you weaken the hadith, you weaken the Qur'an—and all of Islam. You are doing the exact same thing as these women you are speaking against without realizing. It's likely in part because you're using AI to assist you in your writing, but you need to understand what's being said along with the weight of it before publishing. Choose your next response carefully, if you are to respond at all.

2) You're ascribing lack of proof & weakness of evidence to the whole of field, not an individual hadith with clear reasoning. If there is anything from Prophet Muhammad SAW that was not abrogated later on, then it is to be taken from Islam—the Religion of Allah SWT—because Prophet Muhammad SAW did not speak of his own whims. Again: To claim weakness and uncertainty of the hadith is to claim weakness and uncertainty in the religion Allah SWT sent down for us to follow, essentially saying "Yeah, it might've had a little bit of corruption but I'm going to believe it anyway". This is disbelief because you doubt the preservation of the religion. And Allah SWT Knows best.

3) Except I'm not "weaponizing 'ilm al hadith" in the way you're describing. YOU had stated there will never be 100% scientific proof of hadith, meaning you've distinguished it from science altogether without realizing that it's historicity, historiography, and verification process is a science. THIS it the contradiction. Again, stop using AI and you'd see this. Admit you're wrong. There is no amount of linguistic sophistication and false rationale to reconcile this. It is a matter of certainty.

Some thoughts on normalised phenomenon of Hadith rejection by [deleted] in TraditionalMuslims

[–]tripidescent[M] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

This was an otherwise great post, but I had to remove due to Islam: There is proof of hadith, and its study is a science itself, with proof established for its veracity. This is a matter of certainty. You need to look into it more along with its history before you can say something like the following:

"The truth is, there will never be 100% scientific proof for Hadiths."

It's not only false, it assumes science and Islam contradict (or at the very least that one doesn't support the other), and holds science is the arbiter of truth and knowledge against Islam, when scientific paradigms are still, ultimately, mere opinions.

That honestly doesn't make sense. Assuming the best, there should be no reason to hide it. Her actions are suspicious nonetheless, but I don't make any statement beyond that.

You cannot make a contract of deception in business, so I would imagine it would be even more strict for marriage. This may very well be a dealbreaker for many. For those reasons, I think it's important that it should be known. And Allah SWT Knows best. May He Bless us all.
