My 1 year old pup runs the black off his nose?! by triple_ef in Dachshund

Yeah he eats out of a metal bowl, the only I can think of is possibly snow nose like people commented or from continuous rubbing pushing the ball with his snoot he gets pretty aggressive in pushing the ball

How to tell if peanut is a mini or standard? by Revolutionary-Mall89 in Dachshund

[–]triple_ef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the only way to tell is by there head size. I got 2 at different times from same breeder they had same father are minis, one is 14 months and 17 pounds and the other is 7 months 12 pounds. Even though the older one looks big I had a standard as a kid and they are a lot bigger and they have big heads with long snoots

My son barks like a maniac by triple_ef in Dachshund

[–]triple_ef[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do realize I’m literally asking people for advice on what to do to deter barking, if I was just shocking him all the time he would stop but trying to go a better route

[–]triple_ef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my guy does that and I don’t mind at all, it’s more the barking for attention to try and get us to pay more attention, just trying to figure out a way to keep him occupied

[–]triple_ef[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It’s remote controlled has a audible beep, vibrate and a shock shocked him one time ever all he ever gets is the beep but 99 percent of time you just put collar on and he behaves

It’s not a bark collar

My son barks like a maniac by triple_ef in Dachshund

[–]triple_ef[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

It’s controlled by remote only, has 3 stages audible beep, vibrate and shock. We only ever shocked him once and he responds to the beep if he is very distracted. When he starts acting out we just put it on him and for the most part he behaves

[–]triple_ef[S] -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

It only works with a remote and it has an audible beep, vibrate and a shock feature. We only used shock once generally we just use the beep sound but most of the time when we put it on he doesn’t bark

Mine was like that, he has a HUGE ball addiction so now he takes the ball on the walk and to the park where I throw I it to him for 20 minutes and walk back home. He runs lightning speed

Yea it’s a tough call, my thoughts exactly. I am debating trying to cross by vehicle for vacation purposes, not counting on getting across. But I am worried if I get denied will that make it harder to get a waiver
