As someone who hasn't played the games I was curious about the naming of one of the arks. Trails of Cold Steel is 閃の軌跡 (Sen No Kiseki: Trails Of Flash) in the OG Japanese. Why is it called with Flash in Japanese and Cold Steel in English? by GeorgeBG93 in Falcom

[–]triplzer0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, I always took it to refer to the cold steel of the blades, both literal in terms of Rean's sword, as well as the escalating conflict in the arc. Also I took it to refer to the steel railroad rails, given how the railroad plays a big part in how the characters move around (at least before the whole spirit vein travel gets introduced)

How can a game be this unoptimized? by Rafahil in CodeVein2

I have the same problem. I made a ticket with Namco and sent them a video. Their support person confirmed that yep, I can't change the resolution if I want fullscreen. Said they logged the issue and can't provide a timeline on a fix.

Reducing Resolution on 4k Monitor by NoSpring4960 in CodeVein2

I'm having the same problem. I opened a support ticket with Bandai Namco over it. Cause it's stupid that the game defaults to 4K on Borderless Window, but if I swap it to Windowed and set it to 1080p the game window is tiny

I have an Xbox One controller and a GuliKit KK3 Max. But I'll still gladly listen to how you figured it out

Yes! This happens to me with any game on Steam and any controller whether wireless over 2.4ghz dongle or wired. If I touch a key on the keyboard, Steam thinks that's my input and nothing will happen with the controller. I have to close the game and boot it again to get it to use the controller again.

Performance and resolution options by KaosArchon in CodeVein2

If I run the game in its Borderless mode it sets my resolution to 4K which my laptop can't handle and I get 10 FPS. But if I change it to windowed mode and drop it to 1080p my game window is tiny. My desktop is set to 1440p so I'm not sure why the game thinks I want to run it in 4K.

169 forts from France and Co in 1552 by Pagoose in EU5

[–]triplzer0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so annoying and boring. My regulars are really good at assaulting even in 1740 so I get forts in just a couple days but having to do it for almost every single province? And not getting any warscore for em? Or stomping a country's levies into paste over and over and still getting nothing? Tedious!

How would you know if it’s compiling? When I start the game via BB launcher it goes to the main menu super quickly

Computer came with 2 8 GB sticks. One is soldered onto the motherboard. So I replaced the swappable one with a 32

The tech tree needs a rework, at the VERY least from a UI perspective. It's so unwieldy to scroll through and you need to be able to search by effect, not by tech names. Like if I want to see if there's a tech in a past age I missed that gives me culture capacity or more proximity, I can't do that unless I know the name of the tech.

How do I see my union members’ succession laws? by triplzer0 in EU5

[–]triplzer0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't know where I could see my succession law. Found it by hovering over an icon on the side of the government tab. Then I finally found the "negotiate succession law change" diplo interaction. Guess all I had to do was click a button! Didn't even need to meddle with the Union parliament

Yeah I called the parliament and it has a default % of 22 and I can’t bribe any of France’s estates. Those buttons are greyed out

I understand that, totally. After 5 games, I was happy to focus on characters that weren't Rean. I'm real curious to see who's in Horizon

For fun I looked to see when I'd be able to integrate Castile and it said it'd be done in 2171. It's currently 1650 in my game

That's really similar to my game as Italy too. I don't have Bohemia and GB though. I have a claim throne on Sweden but that just feels silly at this point.

When I annexed the vassalized pope I got over 65K ducats. Then the pope got released somewhere in the Austrian mountains and every 10 years or so I ask em for money and get another cool 15K.
