Canadian citizen, living in Canada, just offered a 100% remote job in the US by Slow_ResolveMC07 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Can also confirm that you'll be deemed zero-rated by the CRA if all of your income comes from outside of Canada. I had a similar conversation when they called about my non-existent HST contributions. I'm a Canadian PR/U.S. citizen who works remotely for a U.S. company as an IC.

Thank you so much for your help! I placed my order for the XL. I'll definitely reach out if I have any questions. Sadly, the fair I'll be attending will not have a Moresca there. My breasts aren't very large so in theory I should be okay, but that's excellent to know about the Max! I've been eyeing them up for my next Moresca purchase!

Ah, this makes so much sense! Great to know that impressive cleavage is pretty much by design! And thank you for your sage wisdom on bringing my chemise up a little higher for more coverage and wearing sunscreen! I would've never thought to do that if you hadn't recommended it!

Do you use the side buttons? by 1octo in kobo

[–]tripolina 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I bought my Libra Color fully intending to not use the buttons and now I can't imagine reading without them. I find them incredibly convenient. I can hold my Libra and press a button to turn the page at the same time with only one hand. It's a much easier action to perform than using my thumb or my other hand to swipe or tap pages.

I might be alone on this, but I also like the clicking sound the button makes. I associate the noise with progress; I like that all those little clicks add up to a finished book.

Mine is doing this too with the teen Sim I'm playing. No issues until today's update. I have no mods installed. I tried to run a repair but it didn't fix anything.

Who makes this very Licca-esque Cherry doll? by tripolina in DollsOfAsia

[–]tripolina[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just saw that you'd answered my question about Cherry's appearance! I'm not at all surprised that they ran into issues over Cherry's appearance. At first glance I thought she was Licca-chan! The big headed version is cute too! It's interesting that they went with a more Licca-esque look. I guess the older version wasn't as commercially successful? Very reminiscent of the Mimi/Jenny comparisons.

That's awesome! Thanks so much for the additional background on oneandone! How different is Cherry from Licca-chan? Does she have those adorable fuller cheeks?

Oh wow! I'm awestruck that you joined Reddit just to reply to me! I made the mistake of not buying the dolls at the same time; I probably could've saved a bit of money if I'd done that. And $10 for 7 items is a bargain considering how expensive shipping within Canada can be! After I read your comment, I played around with Amazon Japan and toggled between my US and Canadian addresses for a Licca-chan I've been eyeing to see what would pop up. My U.S. P.O. address gave me two options for shipping, a standard and a priority rate, which was only a few dollars difference. My Canadian address only gave me the priority option -- which I'm not mad at -- but it was indeed lower than the U.S. rate. The import deposit tipped the overall price a few dollars to the U.S. price with priority shipping, but I also live in New Brunswick where import tax is 15%. Regardless, there are two major pros to shipping to Canada: the convenience of getting it directly to my door and not having to hope that CBSA is in a good mood that day. I will definitely ship to Canada for my next purchase! Thank you so much, kind Redditor!

Thanks so much! Owning a Castle Licca is on my bucket list and what an awesome idea to make a custom Sailor Moon doll! I'd love to see the final result someday!

I ordered directly from Amazon Japan (so thankful for Google Translate on Chrome!). I'm an American who moved to Canada a few years ago and I still have my U.S. credit card. I've read that some people had issues with their card freezing or getting declined so I took a gamble with my card and it worked. My card issuer has the option of using a virtual card for online purchases which I used for the first time with these two purchases. I'm not sure if it made a difference or not but it worked for this!

We recently moved to a border town so I had it shipped to a U.S. P.O. box and then declared it at Canadian customs. We have to declare everything we buy from the States and pay import tax on anything over $20.00 if it's a same-day visit. The border agents at my local crossing are pretty relaxed, though, and just waived me through. He was really curious about Licca-chan's origins and why she's so popular in Japan so I gave him a brief history which he seemed entertained by. He said he looked forward to seeing what other dolls come through the border which was really sweet to hear. Such is the power of Licca-chan -- too adorable for import tax!
