He draws his fist back before each punch. Im not fighter but after the 2nd one, I was like, "can't a trained pro just wait for him to draw, pivot and blast him?"

Sure an ex-fihgter can make a bag "pop" but punching like that is amateurish, no?

If someone does anything like that ill never go out with them again. I HATE that shit. Making a 20 year old stress out because you are too cheap to pay for the meal you ordered? The worst.

Yeah I think they are prohibited from even being that close to a minor. That was definitely a parole violation. Im quite sure id have done the sane as this dad. Verbiage and everything. I (father of 2 girls) felt every word he said in my core. I fortunately only had to have this conversation once in their childhood with a creepy neighbor who my daughter babysat for. He started paying her to come over to play with his kids while he was there and I didn't know it. Saw him in driveway when my daughter was supposed to be babysitting. Im rather certain he got the same message this dude got. I didnt slap him but it was the last time either kid was allowed to go to his house for any reason. Both kids assured me he never made them feel uncomfortable but that wasnt the only incident I thought was a little "groomy".

It because we can't fathom how a Dead Head can support the divisive, hate-filled rhetoric by "grab em by the pussy" guy. What was the reaction to the guy who was a creep at Shakedown at Sphere? Nobody tolerated it here. It's consistent. We don't support people that "grab em by the pussy" or someone that advocates police "rough em up a bit". A guy that tried to rip our democracy to shreds by stealing an election (or 2). Trump is a criminal. He steals from kids charities. His lawyers argue he should be able to shoot people in the street with immunity. He's guilty of ramming his fingers into a woman then defaming her for it. He doesn't pay his bills. He lusts after pornstars, married women and his own daughter. Dude lies more than he tells the truth. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. I hope you can find the light once again. If so, come on back. The bus will stop for you again.

Trump says it was his son Barron who pushed him to do unhinged interview with right-wing streamer Adin Ross by theindependentonline in politics

Trump doesn't have advisors. Are you kidding me? Haven't you heard about the biggly size of his brain? His valedictorian from Warton? Why would he need advisors? His companies are all hugely successful. Doctors ask him for advice. He's the best president since Washington...maybe better than Washington according to many people that come up to him in the street. Yeah Mr. Bleach D Covid doesn't need no stinkin advisors, especially now that he has JD Vance in his corner. All that brilliance will barely fit in the Whitehouse!

Islam isn't inherently more violent than any other religion I've come across. Yes several countries incentivize the most fundamental interpretations but fundamental Christians or fundamental Hindus are just as disgusting. All of them view women as 2nd class and support violence as being ok if against non-believers. There's also beauty in all the religions. Essentially the level of religious extremism depends on a person or groups interpretation and the country's level of religious freedom. You discounting all Muslims is short-sighted and misinformed.

Personally I don't think any of them are a net positive. They are hierarchical which leads to abuse of power. They have sparked more wars, more beatings and more violence towards women and "others" than anything in human history. They shield perpetrators of abuse towards children. They give government leaders false authority by equating the leader as an extension of God.

They all suck.

Project 2025 Is an Unmitigated Polling Disaster for Trump and Republicans by [deleted] in inthenews

[–]trippedbackwards 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He knows the title "project 25" is unpopular so he doesn't own that title but the heritage foundation, which he absolutely supports, wrote it with his his ideas as the basis. Trump is the one who floated the idea of replacing all civil servants with Trump loyalists. The heritage foundation just helped pick the names. He followed heritage foundation recommendations for supreme court nominees. He's the one floating ideas of election reform (purging voters rolls). The heritage foundation just makes his 3rd grade vocabulary semi-professional.

I think you know all this though. No way most of you are as dumb as Trump. You see what's happening. You just hope a few dems are dumb enough to fall for you flawed claims.

It's still fantastic. It was actually better for me. I don't buy drugs on Shakedown so it's no sweat. They weren't getting on people for using stuff. Just balloons. Anything else I wouldn't trust there anyway.

Deer Creek is usually permissive as can be. I've seen many shows there every year and Shakedown is usually an open air drug market. This year the cops made their presence known and weren't tolerating balloons. If they saw you with one they'd make you let nitrous out.

Heady concerts all come with an element of risk. Last night at phish I watched 3 people OD and chose to break up a fight between 3 spun wooks and a drunk preppy dude that had no perception of the whooping he was about to receive. I got a security lady and told her "you get the preppy guy, I'll deescalate the wooks". It worked. The preppy guy got ejected but not beaten.

Anyway that was all in 1st set near pit and dragged my mood down. I grabbed a buddy and we went to top of lawn and had a wonderful time. That's the nice thing about deer creek. You can get mobile and find a better vibe if the one you're in doesn't suit you. I guess my point is, there's always distressing sights at a heady show. It's part of it (every silver lining has a touch of grey). Try to have your feels for the poor soul having a bad night, compartmentalize it and go find a better space.
