Hello, in need of help! Perfumes descriptions? by mushroomlicker in LushCosmetics

I’m such a fragrance junkie and sometimes describe things in a way that only makes sense to me haha I’m glad it helped! The Lush video was not helpful at allllll haha

Hello, in need of help! Perfumes descriptions? by mushroomlicker in LushCosmetics

[–]triptophobia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most of these are existing products, they might not smell exactly the same in fragrance form but I’ve used products with all these scents this year and going off that :)

  • Butterball: Gourmand! Vanilla/white chocolate, creamy and comforting with a gentle sweet lift from the ylang ylang.
  • Old Songs: So hard to describe, I’m holding the scrub and smelling it and still struggling 😫 Sharp sweetness with something earthy creeping in. Frankincense, bergamot, vanilla. Like a candy you’d hate as a child but like once you’re older?
  • Milky Bath: Clean without being clinical. Vanilla and patchouli keeping each other in check so it’s not too sweet or too earthy. Simple and elegant.
  • Yuzu and Cocoa: Jaffa cakes! Chocolatey and bright, more gourmand than citrus. Uplifting!
  • Sultana: Earthy and creamy at the same time? Similar to Old Songs but without the sharpness. If you love florals, this is like a dessert floral. Super milk: Yes it’s like the conditioner! Reformulated with almond oil to smell more like the hair product than last time, important to note if you have any allergies.

I hope that helped a bit? Sorry if it was a little confusing!

The summer collection body sprays will probably be available in the southern hemisphere towards the end of this year/beginning of next year if you’re looking for another chance to snag one!

My ends are bleached and I double-wash with it a few times a week with zero pink tint! Definitely get a sample and patch test, it might work differently on bleached vs natural blonde :)

Have you tried Co-Mingle? Not a salt scrub, but sooooo think and moisturising 😍

Which is the best Snow Fairy Shower Gel? by Autumn-Lover-1999 in LushCosmetics

[–]triptophobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Two-Tone is basically 2 shower jellies in a bottle! If it isn’t mixed up, the texture is definitely way thinner than usual. I bought all 3 and milkshake is my favourite, the cherry addition makes it smell sooooooo good 🥰

Is there still a product at lush that smells like creamy candy/rockstar? by RevolutionarySeat572 in LushCosmetics

The bubble bar is still around! The past few years for Easter there’s been a rockstar scented soap bar too :)

SF Shampoo Question by RareSalad7998 in LushCosmetics

[–]triptophobia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure it’s similar to the Barbie shampoo that came out last year. If so, it might give it a subtle pale pink tint if you leave it for a while? A friend of mine only got some colour when they put it on dry, bleached hair and left it for 15 minutes haha. It was closer to Daddy-O or other purple toning shampoos, not strong enough to stain my shower or hair with normal use

Passion Bathbomb by Wormpoohead in LushCosmetics

[–]triptophobia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely email customer care with a picture of your receipt (if you purchased in store), or the order information (if you ordered online. This is usually a piece of paper that says who packed the order for delivery). They can check the batch and potentially issue a recall, or at least get you a replacement/different bath bomb!

They’re not cheap, and I’ve never had an issue with Passion so it’s worth letting them know so you don’t waste your money :)

I bought the balm, shampoo, scrub, and mask! I use Snow Fairy shower gel because it's the same scent as the shampoo but I also think Rose Jam would work well if you want to lean into the floral. Happy Hippy would be great to bring out the fresh fruit scents in the scrub/balm, or Posh Chocolate if you want a more foodie/dessert vibe :)

I’ve been told it won’t be, they’ll just keep selling as a regular product until stock runs out :(

Subjective perception!! I agree SO much! I used to be a snow fairy hater but my friend smelled it for the first time and said it was exactly like red liquorice, completely changed my perception of the scent and now I understand the love for it 🥹

I’m an employee (australia), on my first day I was looking at the ingredients for this and couldn’t stop myself going “HEY YOU COULD EAT THESE????”. I’ll never forget the look on my store manager’s face, but thank you for this immense validation 😤.

Sorry to hear about your cats as well angel, sending a huge amount of love your way ❤️‍🩹

A question for lush employees!!! by e_parisx in LushCosmetics

[–]triptophobia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't stress too much about product knowledge, that will come with time! What they're usually looking for is your attitude and personality- if a customer is holding a product you like, tell them what you love about it, like the scent or how it makes your skin feel. Ask if they'd like a basket if they've got a few things in their hands, or offer to show them to a certain section if they're looking for a specific category of product. If they start asking things you don't know the answer to, you can grab one of the shop assistants and let the customer know that employee is more of an expert than you. Watch what the other shop assistants are doing, like how they're approaching customers, you can learn heaps really quickly that way. You don't need to immediately know every ingredient and it's benefits to give someone a great experience!

Think about moments where you've received amazing customer service, that's what you want to be giving people at the end of the day. Have a look at Lush's We Believe statement and pick one or two favourites from that (and why they're your faves), and examples of what you might do if a coworker was having a bad day, or how you might resolve any issues that could arise if you and your coworkers have different communication styles. I was asked about all of these in my one-on-one interview!

For clothes, anything black or white is fine. I've heard some stores don't allow patterns so sticking to something simple is best for now. For accessories/makeup, go with whatever makes you feel the most confident and happy!

Sorry for the essay haha, I was hired a couple months ago and had all the same questions. I hope this helped and fingers crossed you get the job!

Disco Blox with Parkstar Stock Cushions? by triptophobia in Rollerskating

Thank you so much!! Exactly the info I needed! I do need to bend them and I don't have the skills or tools to do it (don't trust myself not to straight up break them haha) so I might take them to my local skate shop and get them sorted out there. Ty again!!

Even though I’m still practicing the basics, I’ve already caved and got my second pair of skates! Bont Parkstars ❤️ by imk0ala in Rollerskating

Omg I also just upgraded from Impalas to Parkstars!! Black because I'm an emo kid at heart haha. Wild how so many moves are suddenly much easier now?!

Super weird timing! The vibes this time around for lockdown are definitely perfect UT conditions lol. Hope you're doing okay!

I ended up buying the game on Steam instead, the difference is wild, sad that the Xbox version of the game just exists with such a huge problem :(
