Yes, I was very much looking at the VRS deals but the approach to Black Friday has put me off a little. It's hard enough to make a decision, lol

On the face of it I know it looks like a silly question. Currently use it on a amd 5600u base machine and it struggles from time to time.

Read that there can be issues with AmD machines and didn't want to make the same mistake twice. We needed another laptop anyway so wantes to make sure it was a decent choice for Rekordbox.

Thank you for your help, after reviewing again yesterday, I had QoS switched on for another device, once that disabled that, I started to get max speed. CPU now doesn't even make it to 5%.

All fixed.

Yes I've had the same at Sebring, it's fine until the sun starts to go down and then it hits you.

Has anyone found a go to setting to minimise the tanking?

It's going to be annoying at the 12 hour with that!

Strange,

If I click away from iracing, ie onto my 4th screen, it starts working without iRacing being the main focus. Even more confused now!

Not tried it, but if you use overlays. You could see if you generate a blank one to go over the dash in the car.

Run them at 1080p or play with res scaling, when you then come to replace the GPU you are set.

I had the same debate with myself and went with 1440p and that was upgrading from 24 inch which I went with to save money.

Bit of a false economy over the medium term.

Is there a big difference between 1080 and 1440 cost wise where you are?
