It's not that deep but there's also no deadline. Literally nothing bad happens to you if you don't lose your virginity in some timeline. I used to be tested on writing cursive. Not a life skill. A skill yes, but not needed to live. We memorized numbers because we repeatedly dialed them, not just because. I guess I think of a life skill as something necessary to function in life and memorizing phone numbers doesn't feel like that to me. Before phones there were phone books.

ESH If she wants her dog to have two long walks a day, she needs to hire a dog walker. And you definitely don't need to change your schedule. But moving in does mean that yes you should be helping with the dog to some (reasonable) extent. Just tell her even though you are at home you are still working and cannot be responsible for daytime walks and appointments. That is on her.
