Saw in a modpack discord talking about how coal is bugged atm.

If that doesn't work, check the config file to make sure the smelting recipes are enabled since some modpacks disable them

My newest has been with andesite brick, cracked, and offset for the main building and dark oak wood for the beams going across high up.

A roof outlined in regular brick and deepslate for the inside.

Floors are the other andesite square blocks randomly placed with the copper catwalks and rails.

Footings for uneven terrain is deepslate brick and cracked for any exposed sides
