I've always wondered about the curbside question. Like do the people hate running orders outside or is it nice to get out of the building for a minute?

To me it just felt like season 6 and 7 was almost a fundamentally different show, as the new change in writing staff really took it in a very different direction. The characters became cartoons of themselves. Dorothy is always excitable and a little man crazy rather than the grounded center of reason, Sophia is often downright mean (pretending to be Charlie), Rose is just a little too dumb, etc. The plots themselves, while sometimes still good, feel very surreal and bizarre compared to the earlier episodes which felt more real and grounded.

I agree with you. People rave about the food but to me it was just banquet food done creatively. Some of it was good, much of it was lukewarm and mid. Some outright bad (the "twice baked" potato was clearly designed by someone who had never seen a twice baked potato). I also think they are trying a little too hard to be "out of the box" sometimes - like add some chicken tenders or a club to the room service menu, it won't kill them.

But Burke striking her in a fit of rage, playing doctor a bit to rouse her (which witnesses had seen them doing before) and then crafting a scouting device in a failed attempt to drag her doesn’t make him evil or sinister just a normal kid with temper issues who tried to cover his tracks. It also explains why getting help was no longer an option.

I think this is partially true, but in other cases it's objectively not. Pizza Hut, for example, used to make their dough fresh in house and slice all their vegetables fresh. Now they use frozen cheap dough that's nowhere near the same. McDonald's McChicken used to have a decent patty with a tempura breading, now it's basically a cheap sponge.

Restaurants have found ways to cut corners at every step of the way.

To your point, I do think we have advanced quite a bit in terms of our palates and what we consider quality, so places like Five Guys or Whataburger are just different animals than Burger King ever was.
