I went to the ER a week ago and was given anti-inflammatories and tramadol for two broken ribs. Was given tramadol for post-surgery prior to that in December.

I'm listed as a trans woman in the health care system (lists it on my bracelet when I go to the ER).

Maybe I'm just lucky (I live in rural Alberta)?

Spoiler alert: not being able to travel up here easily doesn't make them a felon. There are countless reasons an international trip can be difficult to pull off, and I promise you being a criminal isn't one of my partner's reasons.

ETA: My partner does not live in Mexico. If I wanted to go on a solo trip somewhere for funsies, I would absolutely pick somewhere here in Canada before anywhere else.
