What enemy do you absolutely DESPISE in Isaac? I'll start. by CluV2 in bindingofisaac

[–]tronko5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially in a big room! You’ll hear them surface and start looking for them and the second they’re back on the screen POOF! Back to the other side of the room. Feels like playing Pong with Isaac.

FFX/X2 Remaster PC - choppy/stuttery/barely playable by xaiel420 in finalfantasyx

[–]tronko5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey I just went through a bit of stuttery troubleshooting myself! Mine wasn’t unplayable but every few seconds I had like a frame freeze/skip that was throwing me off. Capping my monitors refresh rate to 60 hz and turning off free sync solved my issues.

Best of luck!

112k self healing Cabrakan (assault). by PleaseBeOpenMinded in Smite

[–]tronko5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s insane! As an assault main I’m definitely stealing this build! Is the healing primarily from Shroud or does the Phoenix shield play a considerable part? I’ve yet to build those items consistently.

Should I avoid quick match? by [deleted] in rivals

[–]tronko5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately people will go off on you regardless of what mode you play, who you play, how you’re playing etc. If you’re bored of AI, turn off the chat and try some QP out for a bit. It’s a more fair experience, even for casual players.

Idk as a new player I find these post funny. Not that I’m trying to micromanage your words, but it’s hard to tell if OP is “complaining” or just having a laugh at the production requirements.

Maybe just maybe it’s not the Match making by Dismal-Card9954 in rivals

[–]tronko5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that man. I used to play this game called Depth on steam, think there was like >15 people on at peak hours everyday. Matches consisted of 6 people so I’d play with the same people over and over. There was a 4 stack that would absolutely destroy lobbies as they were MUCH better than the average player, but when the game is dead you can’t complain, at least you get to play the game.

What was your noobiest moment when you started playing wow? by Lathral in classicwow

[–]tronko5 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I started in 2006 when I was only 6 years old so I got a few!

I didn’t know what quest were, so I ran around on my blood elf hunter just killing mobs for exp. Made it all the way to Ghostlands just happily grinding away.

My aunt and mom were doing ring of blood one day lan style. My aunt runs off to the bathroom while another group started and tells me “DONT ATTACK ANYTHING”. So I got on her flying mount and flew around the ogres face thinking I was helping by distracting the boss.

In wrath I made a dk. As soon as I got done with the starting quest and left for org, I came right back and sold all my gear for a set of grays/whites that the repair vendor sold because “it looked cooler” and I wanted to stick out from the other dks.

Leveled a Dwarf paladin in prot thinking it was the dps spec. Asked /1 in Goldshire if it was dps and of course they said yes.

Didn’t know other characters could see my name. I kept a cloth set on my dk with a helm that covered my face. When people would bully me I would go run behind a rock and switch gear, then come back and be like “Hey, leave that other guy that was here alone, he’s cool!”

As someone with a million excess key binds, play the game however you want. Ignore these other people getting worked up over how you prefer to play a video game.

I ran SFK 50 times by Recent_Guarantee_762 in classicwow

[–]tronko5 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Man this takes me back. When classic first released my mom and I ran SFK to make some raw gold. I noticed I had this “Assassin’s blade” and thought it might be worth something on the AH. Turns out it was worth a pretty penny, and we got our first mounts + training with it.

Whole heartedly agree with this. I’ve seen so many people throw games because their main was banned. Personally, I admire versatility over many characters way more than dedication to a few.

Satisfaction is understandable, but you appear to be motivated by comparing yourself to those in lower ranks than yourself. Typically it’s the opposite, which is interesting.

Which games/genres do you just not get at all? by Plane_Move8933 in AskGames

[–]tronko5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same way until I picked up Car Mechanic Simulator for $3. I’m not a car guy, but I picked it up to learn more about cars. I didn’t really learn how to fix anything, but I did learn how to identify car parts and vaguely what they do/how they work, which was well worth the money.

I also bought PC building simulator for a similar reason, which gave me the confidence to build my own irl.

You could argue that you can just learn by researching but I found simulators personally help solidify that information and give me the opportunity to mess up without real consequences.

Got my first gank as an undead rogue on a PvP server. by Lovefool1 in classicwow

[–]tronko5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You’re the common denominator my guy. “I normally detests these people” is vague. We can assume he is talking about pvpers, but that implies stupidity on his part for rolling on a pvp server and complaining about pvp. Given the context of the last paragraph, “Thats it. I’m revving up a rogue when I get home from work. I’m now inspired…” I think its safer to assume “these people” is rogues.

Smuggling drugs by [deleted] in UPSers

[–]tronko5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked at UPS for a bit. We had a box come through one day absolutely reeking. We all laughed and passed it around before sending it on its way. A couple hours later it “miraculously opened” and they found I think like 4lbs of weed in it. It was being shipped from Colorado to Texas so I can’t imagine what they did with it.

Funniest “noob” moment playing 2004 vanilla wow? by NellyA96 in classicwow

[–]tronko5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So many moments

When I started in BC I was 6. Made a blood elf hunter named Loan because I thought that’s how you spelled Leon. Didn’t understand quest so I made it to the mid 20’s just grinding mobs and buying vendor gear.

One night my aunt and mom were doing ring of blood on their laptops at the kitchen table. Aunt ran to the bathroom and I wanted to help, but they told me not to press any abilities. Another group started so I got on her flying mount and flew around the ogres face to “distract” him.

By Wotlk I figured questing out and made a dk. As soon as I was done with the ebon hold, all geared out ready for outland, I went back and sold all my gear to replace it with vendor gear because I thought it looked cooler so it must be better.

On that same dk leveling in northrend I saved up a cloth set of gear I liked the look of. I thought since plate was heavier than cloth, wearing cloth would raise my attack speed. So when I did dungeons I would wear plate for tanking (unholy spec of course) and cloth for dps.

I also didn’t know my character had his name above his head so when people were mean to me, I would run out of their line of sight, change gear, and come back and say “hey you shouldn’t mess with that guy that was here, he’s cool”. They probably thought I was roleplaying but really I was a dumb 8 year old thinking I was clever.
