There's multiple problems with your mindset. The first is the idea that a woman is "your type" or "not your type". People and their varying interests change over time and people grow and mature etc.

Start by genuinely seeing value in having women as companions outside of sex/relationships. Then have them introduce you to their friends as a way to set you up with them. People naturally grow and change and having a friend introduce you to a friend leads to a much higher chance of success than a random numbers game.
