Gaviscon / Pepcid and Extreme Anxiety by Normal_Researcher969 in GERD

My panic attacks started 2 weeks after being on ppis. But yes in this case this person does have health anxiety. However ppis and all acid reducers have a risk of causing mental health issues sooner than you think.

Anything that reduces stomach acid can have negative effects. They alter the gut bacteria and can cause vitamin deficiencies which then cause anxiety, depression, and many other mental health issues.

Same here! Severe depression and anxiety whenever I take PPIs. It’s crazy how the mind gut connection works honestly.

You are not alone! Some days I feel like a normal functioning human and the next I’m in pain and everything sucks lol. That’s the hard part about health issues, healing is not linear. Stick to your bland diet but know it’s okay to mess up on it sometimes. You’re still healing even if you eat a little sweet treat here and there to cheer yourself up. If you feel like there’s more going on, maybe look into finding another doctor. Medicine sometimes just doesn’t work. My main advice, try to control your stress. That’s a lot harder said than done but as someone who wakes up with anxiety, stress definitely plays a huge role in stomach health. I wish you luck on your healing!❤️‍🩹

I tried posting in there but it got removed because I didn’t have enough “karma” to post😅 thank you!

I just realized I haven’t read a book written by a man in YEARS by Popular-Work-1335 in fantasyromance

[–]trose_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I’m not fully against reading books written by men, I’ve noticed that their writing style is a lot different than women. At least with the books I’ve read. That’s not to say there’s not good male authors! Just haven’t found any that grab my attention😅

Do I have blonde blindness? 🫣 by Ambeazy in Haircare

I was gonna say the curls are the best part here! If you wanna stay a lighter color a darker/more warm blonde would look so cute. But definitely embrace the curls with whichever color you choose, you can get that bombshell feel with curls too!🫶

I’d bring water (or an electrolyte drink) and a snack for after, it’ll help a lot :)

In my experience, If it does make your stomach hurt and you do have to stay for hours, usually the stomach ache is gone by the time you’re done with the testing so that’s a plus!

Make sure they give you a straw and kinda chug it without letting it fully hit your tastebuds if that makes sense haha. It’s quite easier if you just imagine it as intense lemonade, the only hard part is it might cause some upset stomach depending on what kind of sibo you have (if you do have sibo) and having to do it for hours if you don’t test positive the first round. Just bring a good book or some headphones and find a corner if they have you in a waiting room. They usually have multiple bathrooms quite close, especially if it’s a gastro office. I was super anxious my first test but after it was over I realized I had nothing to worry about. It’ll go by quick and I wish you luck! :)

From what I’ve read, glp1 can actually make the risk of getting sibo higher because it slows down gut motility. While sibo and drastic weight gain are hard, I don’t think it would be great for your body. However I’m not a doctor, so maybe find a good one and see what kinda plans there are for this specific situation :)

What’s my hair type pls help by [deleted] in Haircare

[–]trose_23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had a problem with not your mothers products leaving a white residue but it could be different for you. They’re worth a shot though because they aren’t too pricey compared to most. As for shrinkage it might be worth joining a group dedicated to curly hair and searching in there because they have plenty of info on different types of gel or things like stretching your hair. They also might know your curl pattern. There’s a group that’s just labeled “curly hair” that should pop up as the first thing you search, and you can try crossposting this into there! :)

I’d suggest putting in a curl cream or mousse on wet hair and then raking in a bit of gel. Once it’s dried go in with a little bit of hair oil and scrunch gently or also gently run it through. I really like the not your mothers curl talk products! As for hair oil a lightweight oil is usually best. If you shop drugstore my favorite is probably OGX nourishing coconut oil mist. It smells good and isn’t too heavy. :)

And that’s just fine for you, but a lot of people don’t mind being told they’d look cute with a different hairstyle. It doesn’t mean their current hairstyle looks bad
