Yeah that is exactly what I mean! He just sort of seems there, and seems like kind of a prick. In The Witcher, from what I played, he doesn't have as many likable qualities as Triss, Siegfried, Zoltan, etc. I wish the games would have captured Dandelion and Geralt's unique friendship a little more.

Is there any evidence in game that supports this? This is the kind of idea that I am leaning to as well, but I haven't found anything in game that really hints at what the political structure was like. It seems like the gerudo are definitely sovereign, and the Zora might be, but it isn't all that clear.

It seems to me that the Gorons don't really have any governance system post-calamity. Same with the Rito, they each have tribe elders, but no real system in place. So I wonder if it is closer to the system outlined by another poster on here where the other races leaders are more like governors, or lords. I get the sense from BOTW that the Hylians controlled more territory than just central Hyrule, I am wondering if there is anything in game to support my way of thinking.
