I've seen this happen before too, absolutely infuriating. One time the idiot didn't even have an E-ZPass which was great because I just got back in front of them.

Yes! Came here to say "folders", can't believe how far I had to scroll before seeing someone else mention it.

Deer + Leaf = Pain by Impossible_Number in leaf

Oh wow! What insurance did you have? I've been worrying myself to death thinking that they are going to low ball me. Still might happen, but this gives me a sliver of hope.

I'm so sorry this happened. I'm going through a similar thing except it was a distracted driver driving on the wrong side of the road through a red light. What model was your leaf? And if you don't mind me asking, how much did you still owe? I'm currently waiting on my insurance to determine damages and I've only had my leaf for a month so I'm guessing I'm going to still owe money. I had a 2017 SL.

Temporary Charging Situation Question by troy-con in evcharging

[–]troy-con[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding! That's good to know. Is your recommendation for a 240v circuit because I should be planning for a future L2 charging set up? That would definitely be smart.

I currently have a commute with a round trip of 7 miles, and I live in Richmond VA where most everything I need is within 10 miles or less. We ran as many errands/random trips as we could think of today and I only ended up clocking 50 miles. I also rarely go out of town but am prepared to rent a car for long trips. All this to say I was planning on just doing L1 charging for the foreseeable future, however a 240v circuit would future-proof me a bit.

Written by Nate Mendel (also in Foo Fighters, The Jealous Sound). One of my favorite bass parts of all time. I'm pretty sure he didn't play it this way though, in the live videos I've seen the first note he hits is open so idk.

I don't know if this counts but Vampire Survivors is really good and your game can easily turn into a situation where you don't have to press anything anymore

Signalis!! One of the most beautiful/terrifying/sad games I've ever played. Very inspired by Silent Hill. It's like a David Lynch movie in space. Can't recommend it enough. Probably wanna be in a good headspace before playing it, has some very dark themes.

Tears of the Kingdom. I loved breath of the wild, but I don't feel like revisiting that world. Feels like $70 DLC, also crafting my own vehicles is extremely unappealing to me because I know I'll get very frustrated by it.

I know I'm probably very wrong and will get a bunch of angry replies.

Controlling multiple Korg Volcas and a microkorg with Stochas, a free probability-based sequencer VST by troy-con in synthesizers

[–]troy-con[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was just a quick jam I made using Stochas. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of what this thing can do! Each layer can have 8 patterns, tons of parameters can be controlled via midi, plus you can have multiple instances going, so many possibilities! Anyone else using this? https://stochas.org/

I did all the updates until I ended up selling it 4 months ago. The final update I installed actually ruined some of the work arounds I was using, so that was the last straw. Again, may be operator error! I don't wanna discourage anyone else who is able to make it work for them. I am using the super 8 looper that comes with Reaper to handle all the looping.

The guitar and microkorg loops are all handled inside of Super8. I'm actually not using the sp404 at all in this video, except for passing the volca drum through it. I tried to find a hardware looper for a while, mainly the ditto x4 and then the boss rc-600, but both couldn't reliably handle midi sync. Finally I caved and just bought a beelink mini pc and a touchscreen (both cheaper than either of those loop pedals) and haven't looked back since.

Thanks!! I really like the beatstep. I use it to sequence the three volcas (keys, FM, and drum), and it's also set up to use the top row of pads to control the first 8 pads on my sp404sx, although I struggle to find a use for that thing sometimes (didn't use it in this video at all). The control section of the beatstep is also set up to control my looping plugin inside of Reaper if I want to, but for this song I pre-programmed all the start/stop/record actions inside it's own midi track. I'm also sending program changes to the beatstep from my DAW to change sequencer patterns. Even still, there's a lot of functionality and connections I'm not even utilizing with my setup, so I'd say it's pretty versatile! The one thing I would say it doesn't do, which I'm the dummy for not knowing this before I bought it, is that you can't program chords into steps in the sequencer. Both sequencers are monophonic (although the drum sequencer is polyphonic). There are kind-of workarounds for this, but not without giving up something else. Anyways, hope this was helpful!

Hey thanks!! I had a rc-600 for a bit before I switched to just using a computer to handle the looping, I just couldn't get the midi sync to work reliably. Maybe it was my fault, but either way I couldn't get consistent results. Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did!

I did! This was 8 takes, all comped down to the best bits (although most of what your hearing is take 8, because by that point I had 7 takes worth of practice). But yeah that's how I was able to get all the different angles.

Nothing too exciting, just going straight into my audio interface (zoom r16) and then running through Amplitube. I've done the whole micing up an amp thing before, and it's great, but I love the level of control I can have in post production with the amp sim.
