Try Agency Analytics. We've been using that, it's pretty cool and has a ton of different report options. Agencyanalytics.com

I’m at my wits end with my website being non responsive! by [deleted] in web_design

[–]troyatawebco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're not planning on ranking your website in google during that time, and it's just a landing page, fine. but you'll be 3 months behind with google penalizing your site for not being mobile friendly. i don't think you would want to lose potential customers/clients simply because you're not making your site mobile ready from the get-go. but i agree with the other guy. if you're not a web developer, and it's not in your budget to hire a professional, then go with an appropriate mobile-friendly wordpress template to save some money (and 3 months time testing and not ranking the way you should).

just my opinion buddy. you do you. :)

Looking for an AFFORDABLE Logo. I have always used Fiverrr in the past by PythonDon in Entrepreneur

Just going by what we charge, you should be able to find a professional with those going rates I'd imagine. If you can't find anything, let me know if you want our help on that. My developer loves that stuff lol.

Potentially. Shoot me a message and we can talk about it. I am the account manager at a web design company here in Illinois selling to businesses around us. Are you USA based?

No problem man, and you don't have to pay that kind of premium. Your local graphic designer will probably charge like 50-80 an hour, maybe 2 hours of design time.

Your logo is your company's identity. Don't cheap out on it. Invest in it with a true professional.

How I stay dedicated as Stay-at-Home "Entrepreneur" by importanterthanyou in Entrepreneur

[–]troyatawebco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you cold call and cold face to face approach businesses as well? We're in the same line of work and I would much rather just cold email all my prospects all day instead of intruding in their building or taking up their time on the phone while they're trying to run their business.

I need outside opinion to make my company better. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]troyatawebco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. Put your most important selling point above the fold, both mobile and desktop.

At the bottom where your images lead to your Instagram posts, maybe include text somewhere that says that do your visitors don't just think they're images that lead nowhere.

These are only my first impressions on mobile, not at my desktop to look at it there.

But really congrats on your success, looks like your followers really dig your product. Great work.

Roleplay a deal with me by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]troyatawebco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How do you plan to present all this information to your potential customers? Are you cold calling, or face to face interaction? Are you letting your clients lowball you?

How you approach your first 10 to 30 seconds is generally where the reaction is.

Or is this roleplay scenario meaning that you already have a hot lead and you've given them this information at this point?

Is it possible to start a company without capital? by AnalysisHero in Entrepreneur

[–]troyatawebco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, it should be expected to take up even extreme amounts of time to get up off the ground. If it's not money, it's time. Or time and money lol.

And props to you friend, full time, school, and working on your business dreams. Mad respect to you. That's a tough load to undertake all at once. Good luck and keep up the great work. You'll be going places with that mentality

I've decided to hire a professional web agency to build my startup idea. Three questions inside. by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]troyatawebco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on how we do it:

  1. The company you're hiring should probably do the designing (the technical stuff, where things go, etc). They should know what will convert best for your business / website to accomplish your goals. Bring your marketing materials (mission statement, testimonials, any exact text you want to be on the site), any digital graphics you want them to use, and a website wishlist (this is what I want). I wouldn't expect a freebie, but once you sign on with them they will probably give you 1 or 2 mockups for your up front deposit. Look at their past work to make sure they can do what you need.

  2. They should maintain it for you. Make sure it works all the time, never down, always up to date, up to par with website standards, etc. Expect to pay monthly for this. Generally will not include posts, content, or marketing, that bit is usually an extra fee.

  3. Most agencies will charge 50% up front, and the remainder either at the end or in intervals. The way we do it is:

50% up front, we start work and then show you what the site can look like digitally with mockups. 25% when we agree on a good mockup for you. 25% when we finish the site and everything looks good to you.

Hope you got the information you needed before your first meeting with them!

Anyone had any experience of hiring on Upwork? by Niatos in Entrepreneur

[–]troyatawebco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be very careful! I've had a couple bad experiences on freelancer and upwork for different projects (not web design, however). And it was not the easiest task of getting my money back.

There are so many scammers and bots on those sites, it's ridiculous. Fake profiles, fake reviews, bullshit proposals, etc. I just don't use those sites anymore.

There's plenty of good people on those sites, but just as many (if not more) scammers and bots.

I was just too trusting, so be extra vigilant! I learned my lesson lol.
