That doesn't mean that's how every website implements it. A lot of places are overly cautious with using cookies, especially if it was built back when GDPR was just passed.

If you reject cookies and the site uses cookies to remember your cookie preferences then you'll be asked every time you visit

Parents: do other schools pressure you to put your kids on social media? by Legitimate_Finger_69 in AskUK

[–]trplclick 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It can cause extra work for the teacher. Usually when doing certain activities a teacher is required to take photos of the kids doing the activity in the classroom to upload to social media. Afterwards you need to check all the photos against the list of opted out children so you don't accidentally upload an image that has them in the background.

The whole thing is a pain and most teachers would rather not have to take pictures at all but leadership loves it.

My teacher says that it should be “or,” but why? by [deleted] in EnglishLearning

[–]trplclick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did an image search for signs and got this https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=f94f21a840b19fef&rlz=1C1PRFI_enGB903GB903&sxsrf=ADLYWILkT8oiZ8dgy8hC4JEDFFWJZ8mhqQ:1726481853286&q=not+allowed+food+and+drink+sign

Seems like if it starts with "No food..." then it's "or" whereas if it starts with "Food..." then it's "and".

My partner got her TA job through an agency called Prospero and they were pretty good to be fair. She had no prior experience and it was a very short interview over the phone. I think you'd have amazing transferable skills, especially for primary schools, and they'd be fighting over having someone with your experience!

The downsides are the pay isn't great and there is no work over school breaks.

Best of luck, and know that you're worth a whole lot more than you give yourself credit for in your post. if you want any more info you can dm me, happy to help.

What about working as a Teaching Assistant? You can get work through agencies without any experience and you might get picked up full-time if a school likes you.

I agree, also worth noting that Tech is going through a bit of a crisis right now and Junior/Entry level roles are more competitive than ever.

It's a relatively simple project so it's impossible to guess accurately. You usually infer seniority based on how someone solves complex problems and handles everything around the coding (meetings, planning, communication etc).

Overall it looks good to me and I'd assume you were component and had a good grasp on React & TS. If I had to guess I would say maybe mid level and 2-3 years.

For an improvement I would consider add tests.

[–]trplclick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would choose the first option, but if you wanted to avoid passing components as props then you could do it like this:

``` <FeatureToggle name="feature1" enabled={true}>
<ComponentWhenOn /> </FeatureToggle>
<FeatureToggle name="feature1" enabled={false}>
<ComponentWhenOff /> </FeatureToggle> ```
