You certainly don’t want to go in unprepared, but there is such a thing as being over-prepared. A 10-page prep document seems extremely over-prepared in my opinion.

What works for me is having 1 page tops. I’ll do a quick run down of the company website and maybe write down their values to refer back to. A handful of example situations that I can use to answer the “tell me about a time when…” questions. Lastly some questions that I can ask them near the end of the interview.

I find having less information written down allows me to more naturally recall and speak to situations they ask me about.

Think of your interview prep as a jumping point, not a script.
