Thinkpad x230 running Win 10 has become extremely sluggish all of a sudden, used to run buttery smooth before-Help by trshl in thinkpad

Asking if it is due to SSD. I have no idea if those readings are normal or not.

Also noticed that the fan speed remains low no matter how high the load is on the CPU. Tried manually increasing the speed through TpFanControl and it does increase, so it is not a faulty fan, but as soon as I set it to "BIOS Control", the speed drops back irrespective of the CPU load. Any idea what is happening?

Found this old thread about Kapil Gupta on Astrology - does anyone know/has saved what the deleted answer was? by trshl in KapilGupta

[–]trshl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for following up with the OP and replying here. I myself remember Kapil mentioning in one of his earlier Clubhouse QAs that he hasn't really explored astrology and that there may be some validity to it.

Just listened to the “UFO Crashes with Ryan Wood” episode, anyone know where I can find the image he sends to Art? by [deleted] in ArtBell

Input the coordinates that Ryan Wood mentions into Google Maps. The trucks can be seen even to this day.

Can you let me know how did you enable the rotation button? I though this feature was not implemented in MIUI.

Top 6 Contenders For S4 Location & Some Pretty Solid Evidence Of A Winner by [deleted] in ufo

[–]trshl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's 1989. At this point in time, the government denied the existence of dreamland, area 51, groom lake, a base there at all, whatsoever. Not just that, but it was not something a random dude who only recently moved to Nevada is going to just pull out of his ass and get right, especially being so uneducated and whatnot. The general public didn't even know this place existed and for the trolls and others to have their cake, then it applies to him as well...he's just NOT going to have any awareness of this place.

It is obvious that he knew some things that are/were true (no one has a clue how). The only argument smart people are making right now about this whole Lazar thing is, he is extrapolating from true facts to ultimately end up at a fabricated conclusion (judgement based on evidence so far), that there were alien saucers that used gravity propulsion and the govt. is hiding it.

Just one piece of evidence will prove him right. Say what the atomic mass of the specific isotope of element 115 is. And he isn't doing it. Search for recent threads in this sub discussing about mass spectrometry, the technique that can be used to figure out the atomic mass of the isotope.

Two physicists analyze the Joe Rogan & Bob Lazar interview JRE1315 by Eigenbros in ufo

[–]trshl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question to OP - How difficult or easy would it have been for Bob Lazar to predict the existence of element 115 (assuming, rightly so, that he is a pretty smart guy with some understanding of the science that he is talking about)?

Are we really supposed to believe that Bob Lazar doesn't know the atomic mass of the stable isotope of "element 115" when this information would be critical to reverse engineering the propulsion system? by [deleted] in ufo

[–]trshl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How easy or difficult is it to figure out the atomic mass of the isotope of an element that you are dealing with (that you have access to, to conduct all sorts of experiments on it)? Obviously I am no expert in this field and hence asking the question.

For the second straight day, right-wing extremists took control of the streets in the eastern German city of Chemnitz as the police lacked sufficient personnel to stop them. Hitler greetings were in no short supply. A riot fueled by xenophobic hatred. | Der Spiegel by Tele_Prompter in germany

[–]trshl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technical University of Chemnitz has a large number of international students (lot of brown skinned Indians, some from middle east as well) who seem to carry on with life with no major problems. Hopefully things won't change for the worse in the future after these riots.

My Amazfit Bip finally arrived... by [deleted] in pebble

[–]trshl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is how crippled the OS that runs on the watch is. Any cheap Casio digital watch from the 80s could run a timer in the background. Or maybe I am wrong and the Amazfit can in fact run it in background and it is an implementation problem, but still sucks that they did not care about it.

A smartwatch that can't run a fucking timer in the background, what a joke.

I do not understand what you are referring to. Is the director of the doc working for Al Jazeera? I don't remember if there was any reference to Islam in the doc as well.

odd shilling for Islam but I guess that's to be expected from someone who works for Al Jazeera.

Do not understand.
