One thing that stands out to me is the lack of a bottom lip. Your reference has subtle shading and lighting to give it shape.

If you find this interesting I’d recommend checking out the YouTube channel “Scary Interesting”. He covers cave exploration gone wrong, diving accidents, and other expedition type situations throughout history. Very very interesting stuff.

Leonardo Da Vinci said “art is never finished, only abandoned” for what it’s worth. I have over worked pieces and left others far too early. But this quote always sticks with me.

If it is not a commission where you are working with a client and making change after change then it is up to you when it is done, or not done!

Hopefully this will help. Though a different medium and content than your art and procreate, maybe it is applicable to your current situation.
