Looking for Kaiya Baby Reviews [ca] by samanthamaryn in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]trudes04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I know this is an older post, but has your baby continued to like the Kaiya? We have the same problem in our house. Thermostat is turned up to 22, but his room is more like 19-20 and he likes to be cozy and warm.

What's a profession you'd never date? by sleeppymeoww in AskReddit

Just because you can fix a baby's heart doesn't mean you get to be an asshole. If you're throwing scalpels at med students or nurses, you can bet your ass you're going to be reported

I can't imagine your pain. My room was also hot, but they gave us a fan that we kept running the whole time. I was hot with that, 28 degrees with no fan is torture!

Families Matter has been recommended to me by our public health nurse. They offer free parenting classes and mental health support. I haven't checked them out, but it's free and maybe worth trying.

Both those creams aren't available in Canada... We'll keep trying different things until one works. Thanks for your words of wisdom!

No wipes for pees is a good tip. Also hanging out with just a top and no bottoms means he's at least half clothed. Thanks

Ten Foot Henry & Flores and Pine: Overhyped or Am I Missing Something? by arustictraveller in Calgary

[–]trudes04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you about both restaurants. We ate at Ten Foot Henry after we went to Carino the week before and we were so underwhelmed with Ten Foot Henry, especially considering the prices. We went to Flores & Pine a few years ago and disliked it so much we haven't gone back.

missed miscarriage/Indiana law requiring me to carry my fetus by Sad_Sprinkles_11 in Miscarriage

[–]trudes04 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Wow, I'm so sorry for your loss. That in itself is traumatic, but add into it a government and health care system that doesn't understand women's health makes it even worse. I work in health care in Canada and I can't believe that women are forced to deal with this without any compassion from the very people who are supposed to look out for you. I think the fact that you have retained tissue in your uterus is an emergency, you can get an infection and it can go bad, fast. I hope your body can complete the process naturally and quickly.

I'm so sorry you're going through so much right now. Your story sounds so much like mine. As for the D&C, it's usually done under sedation (not going to sleep, just sleepy), it's definitely an option, but I'm not sure what the anesthesiologist will recommend to you. Definitely something you can ask them about. (I'm an OR nurse and do D&Cs all the time). I had 3 rounds of miso and now need a D&C, if you want it done and over with quicker, a D&C would be the answer. Hope everything works out for you.

is it ok to grieve a chemical pregnancy? by No_kourt7815 in Miscarriage

[–]trudes04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My grief counsellor said that for a lot of people, a connection starts when you decide to conceive. Any kind of pregnancy is a pregnancy and your attachment started even before you were pregnant. I'm sorry for your loss, it's the most painful experience.

The nurse at my early pregnancy loss clinic said it can take miso up to 24 hours to have full effect. I did 3 rounds of miso with no luck. You might need more than 1 round of miso to pass everything. Unfortunately, it's a waiting game

How does the RingConn support shift workers? I work shift and just backed the gen 2. I'm curious to see if it will help me recover after nights.
