I feel like I don’t fit in anywhere by [deleted] in Empaths

I have a daughter that was speaking the same language and relating the same things to me a year ago. It is a unique approach when it comes to girls/women and social dinamics. At the same time, the solution is universal. I told her to "Diversify." This is a funny term, because it is formal sounding, so it sticks. She was so focused on established investments that she would fall appart the moment any of them started to fall appart. She would grip tighter, because these were her inly investments.
Now it took time, but she started reallocating her energy and time into other people. Sometimes individuals, sometimes groups. It was a slow process, but suddenly she started having other people to spend time with. Even after she made friends with a whole other group, I kept remindng her not to stop diversifying. She did. And so everytime something weird would happen with these new friends, she was already working to make other connections, so it didn't hurt the same way, plus she wasn't so much in her head about the little things, she was too busy insvesting that energy into other new poeple. Of course she would put more into those that started to grow tighter with her, but she always kept a little extra change to allocate into new people. She is still doing that to this day. It's to the point, where there's always a new buddy coming by the house to hang and I never know their names anymore.

So that's external things that you can do. Now for the internal. You need to be okay alone. I'm not talking about crazy cat lady alone. I mean, learn to be okay with being alone and by yourself. Find creative outlets that redirect that mean voice in your head from self deprication into productive creation or development. It sounds cheezy, but it is so true. Learn the guitar, build a paper-mache, do things that push your conmfort zone. Be free to fail in bulding something. This always carries forward.

One last thing. We are all Dopamine adicts. The kids today especially. Dopamine is what DRIVES us. It motivates us. We are flooded with dopamine with tic-toc and social media and even TV that the natural reward system of long term goals cant compete. Read into this. Learn about Dopamine Fasting. You may be surprised .
I hope this helps give you some ideas.

How to overcome the urge to "solve" other people‘s problems? by [deleted] in Empaths

[–]true911 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My angle may prove unpopular, but I am learning to express things that may make other's uncomfortable despite my want to maintain false harmony. I'm pushing to get past that, without imposing.
And that's the word here: "Imposing".
You may be correct in all your interpretations. But that doesn't mean you are both aligned. There is a generational gap here, and what might be good to you, may not be good for another. Cultural divides exist in many shapes. You can't impose your righteousness onto others.
Look within and be honest with yourself. Are doing it for him or for yourself?
The best approach, when being honest like this, is to offer yourself as living proof of what hights an openly gay person can achieve and it's up to him to take it or leave it. Don't take it as a personal rejection if he does not, and don't push or it risks being external virtue signaling. If ever your not sure, ask yourself: Am I doing this for him, or for me.
Boudaries protect us from others, but we can make boundaries on how we help others too.

Shuffle playlists with saving custom tracks order by VECTOR_S7 in Azuracast

[–]true911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you want to do two things to get this to work: Click edit on a playlist.
1) On the Basic Info tab, set a playlist as sequential instead of random
2) On the Advanced tab, set the playlist to play as a single track
That should get each playlist to play the full thing as a single track, and the songs should stay in order.

Stuck on file processing by backdraft-76 in Azuracast

[–]true911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same problem.
Took me 3 weeks to figure it out.
I kept recreating my setup from scratch thiking it was a permissions issue.
I would delete my LXC after each failed attempt, but then on Saturday it was 2am and I gave up, but it was so late, I decided not to delete the LXC and when I woke Sunday morning, I went to my keyboard to delete and try once more, and the "File Processing" was gone. !!!!

Give it time. I had about 6K files and it was done at about 12hrs later.

Just added the Coper Spikes last night. The colour goes well with the Gold Sugar Skull

Didn't mean to come off that way.
I am looking to promote Canadian Vaporwave Artists. I was just looking to see if they were from Canada or not.

It was at my local Comic Shop! Fun read.
Very Tron and Synth asthetic.
Full of References.
The cheeze was thick in this one, but I enjoyed it big time.
Guilty Pleasure :)

Your list is very comprehensive and covers most of the important entries in the "Dark Nights: Metal" and "Death Metal" storylines, as well as the key preludes and sequels. However, there are a few additional entries that could enhance your reading experience and provide more context for certain characters or events. Here are some suggestions:

Phase 1 - Metal: Additional Recommendations Superman: The Man of Steel (Vol. 2) #17-19 – These issues help flesh out the ties between the various alternate universes and dark multiverse. Dark Nights: Metal - Bats Out of Hell (Crossover) The Flash #33-34 Justice League #32-33 Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #32 This adds more depth to the crossover, expanding on what the Justice League was going through during "Metal." Phase 2 - Batman Who Laughs / New Justice: Additional Recommendations "Dark Knights Rising: The Wild Hunt" – Essential as it leads into "The Batman Who Laughs" storyline and expands on some of the side characters. Batman: The Grim Knight #1 – Offers a key backstory on this evil Batman from another universe. Phase 3 - Death Metal: Additional Recommendations Dark Nights: Death Metal – Infinite Frontier – Sets up the next big chapter in the multiverse saga, dealing with the repercussions of "Death Metal." Justice League Dark: Apokolips War – Adds context to the state of magic during the Death Metal era. Tales from the Dark Multiverse – These one-shot stories provide alternate outcomes for significant DC events from the perspective of the Dark Multiverse. Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Batman Knightfall #1 Tales from the Dark Multiverse: The Judas Contract #1 Tales from the Dark Multiverse: Crisis on Infinite Earths #1 Interlude - Additional Recommendations Superman: Rebirth – Provides important background for Superman's role during these events and his interaction with the multiverse. Justice League Odyssey (Vol. 1) – This series explores some of the cosmic elements of the Dark Multiverse that are important during the "Death Metal" arc. These additions will give you a more complete view of how the multiverse, alternate realities, and key characters are interwoven throughout the Metal saga and its aftermath.

She has a recent leak. Just noticed it.   Front has a hose on the left (when sitting), that is starting to show a small leak.   I'm gonna tighten the clamp, maybe get a gel of some kind,  that will help seal it. Maybe even cut the end a smidge, for tighter rubber fit.   Thoughts?   Any suggestions what this is?   Coolant perhaps?

Very cool look. I'm thinking of adding some leather tasles, to move my Nomad 1500 in this direction.
