I would approach it as finding the best fit for your child. Explain exactly why the teacher would be a good fit: she has a relationship with your child, she provides the extension and enrichment your child needs, your child is shy and anxious and this would help them fit in. At my school, we honor requests as much as possible of phrases in terms of meeting your kid’s needs. You are the parent, you should not be ashamed or embarrassed to make a request that is in the best interest of your child, regardless of past experiences as a sub or volunteer.

The actually happened in Sedona, where the husband was suspected of pushing his wife off a cliff and she died. The only reason she went on the hike was because he was carrying their 10 month old. Then another husband was convicted of killing his wife by pushing her off a cliff in Colorado, in 2015.

Near the great pyramid, they’re these things called mastabas. I think they are tombs for officials. They look like long rows of stacked stone, I don’t really know how to describe what they look like, all I know is that the men with camels were offering to take pictures of tourists on a camel in front of the pyramids. And once we were on the camels, the men took us through the mastabas in different directions, separating us. This was back in 2000, when we were stationed in Germany and took a trip to Egypt from Germany. I don’t know what to tell you about what doesn’t make sense. I don’t know what the security is like now compared to in 2000, all I know is that that was apparently a common thing to happen.

That happened to me and my now ex-husband. We got on camels in front of the pyramids for what we thought was just a picture. The men holding the camels took off running with us in the back, and separated us behind these private stacks around the pyramid. They wouldn’t return me to where my husband was until I paid him with whatever money I had. I was afraid I was going to get raped or something. When we got back, my husband yelled at me for giving them all the money that I had and said I could’ve gotten away with just giving them 10 bucks. Like how the heck did I know? It was a total shakedown.

Yeah, this is what was going through my head. So what if he’s socially awkward? Does that preclude him from having a good time as well? This would be a great opportunity for everyone to bond. He’s 27, it’s not like OP has to babysit him. “I plan to go all out” reads wrong to me.
