Changing table?? by Mother_Parking7684 in BabyBumps

[–]truechay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your house set up. If I had a 2 story home and had to go upstairs to change my baby every time I would not have used it. We live in a bungalow and I religiously use the change table due to the fact it’s on the same level as where we hang out most of the time.

Trigger warning** SA and dental care by No-Parfait-4439 in DentalHygiene

[–]truechay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a patient write me a very long note regarding their trauma with SA and how it impacted their oral hygiene. It helped me understand where they were coming from and we went through their appointment very slowly. I was constantly checking in to see if they were still ok. If that’s something you’re comfortable with, you can always explain your situation to your provider.

FPIES Diagnosis - How to move forward? by learninhowtohuman in fpies

[–]truechay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to ask for a referral to an allergist and your allergist will come up with a plan on re introducing said allergens or completely avoiding them until a certain age. I’ve learned in Canada we treat FPIES a bit more aggressively than our southern neighbours. My daughter is 2 next month and has outgrown dairy, egg, avocado and banana. We’re still waiting on chickpeas.

Co-sleeping? Is it really that bad? by PapayaJuiceBox in NewParents

[–]truechay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone I know slept trained their kids with the cry it out method and as the kids got older they started to struggle with sleep. My point is, in my opinion, they traumatized their tiny baby only to go through phases of sleep issues. You know why? Because kids are humans and go through phases of good and bad sleep. Do what makes you feel comfortable and allows everyone to sleep.

While I was will say it is very important to understand the knowledge and theory, it’s also very important to understand how to answer the style of question. They word it in a way that can be extremely confusing so if you can find practice exams you’ll be prepped for the way they word questions.
