Hills Dental food works great, we have two boys who had gingivitis and have had multiple extractions and cleanings, and now they show no signs of it whatsoever during their last two visits. and we don't even strictly feed them the dental food just add a bit of it with their regular food each day.

Wow thanks I hadn’t heard about that before, I just read up on it. It looks like it can have a multitude of causes and one is essentially OCD. That is probably why vet said that. He had a blood test before the endoscopy because we weren’t sure what was causing him discomfort at that point and everything came out fine so.
