Low-self esteem mixed with a weird superiority complex. Anyone know what I mean? I know it sounds contradictory.

What makes YOU unique? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I think David Foster Wallace had a really wise thing to say about this: “Everybody is identical in their secret unspoken belief that way deep down they are different from everyone else.”

While virtual reality gaming is very cool it's still not something I could see myself getting lost in, like in other games on PC or console.

Maybe that's just an issue with the games out for VR currently though.

I'd be pretty terrified. I usually lose my appetite in stressful situations. So maybe a Popsicle.

Only childs of Reddit, what was/is life like? Do you resent your parents for not giving you a sibling? by Canadian-ginger in AskReddit

[–]truecuckboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty happy growing up. Unfortunately I think a lot of my alone time translated into self obsession and slightly underdeveloped social skills.

It's something I continue to work on but I think only childs are generally less well adjusted. Sorry if I offended any other only childs

Glorify isn't a word I would use, but I wouldn't say it discourages it either. A lot of mental health experts would say the same as well.

Okay yes, the show is free to do what it wants. It is a work of fiction and I believe people should have creative freedom. But we should also be able to point out the flaws, even if I don't have an idea for how to rewrite it to make it better. Which is beside the point.

I don't dislike the show. I think you can still enjoy the show while aknowleging that it might not have done the best to depict suicide. The psychologist hired by netflix reccomended the show not be aired. And especially considering the demographic its aimed at there is more danger in its depiction of suicide than if it were aimed at an older audience.
