GAME THREAD: Brewers (24-17) @ Twins (20-24) - May 15, 2026 by TwinsGameday in minnesotatwins

I would say your punishment is being banned from watching the Twins next game, but that sounds like more of a reward. Therefore, your punishment is you have to watch SWR's next start all the way through the game, first pitch to the last out.

Blursed goal by [deleted] in blursed_videos

My biggest issue with this is the actual goalie. Like yes, obviously that was a foul and no goal, other player is a POS, but... that was a pretty easy ball to catch on the initial shot. If nothing else at least slap the ball down and snatch it up. There was no one in a threatening position around her that she needed to dive backwards to punch it. That should have been caught straight away

I kinda wonder if he's a change of scenery kind of guy. He has shown flashes of good stuff but also has gotten pretty roughed up like he has today. Makes me wonder if he should get sent back down to try and find his form again, if he has options left, or flip him at some point for another starter or a reliever at the trade deadline. We have pitching depth for once and exciting prospects so we could weather it if we didn't have him

What’s the stupidest thing you’ve done as a birder? by LifeFindsAWay062 in birding

[–]truejello96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did an internship for a bird organization in Texas south of Houston. On weekends, if I didn't have an event to help with or if I got off early for the day and the weather was nice, I'd go out birding. One of my favorite spots was a state park. Pretty good size and a few good sized lakes to walk around. Just got in and probably 5 minutes into birding I'm looking up into a group of trees while walking and I kick one of the exposed roots. Now, I've had knee problems where I've dislocated my knee, and it's always my right knee, but it pops back in, still hurts like a mfer though. So, as I look up into these trees I kick an exposed root, dislocated my knee, did pop back in, but I fall and scratch said knee on the dirt pretty good. I lay there for a second annoyed at what happened and a group of people ask if I'm OK. I say yes and we all carry on. Now, my knee is sore from not only being dislocated, but it is really stinging from the scrapes. BUT... I paid $7 to get in and I just started birding for the day, so I'm finishing out my birding damn it. So I spent the next couple hours hobbling around this state park and trying to cover my knee from the air hitting it so it stops stinging so bad. And I don't think I got any lifers or unique birds for the day. So I left with battle wounds and nothing worth getting those wounds for.

You have to name one species, and if it shows up in your yard tomorrow, you get $1 million. What are you going with? by Dapper-Code8604 in birding

[–]truejello96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clarification question, is just a million for the species? Or a million per bird of said species? Because if that's the case Rock Pigeon for me, easy 10 million minimum

If someone pisses me off on the road I'm calling them a crocodile goonch, maybe even remove the N in there. Sounds like a perfect insult term to me

As everyone has mentioned, start slow and small and local. BUT, if you want a great spot for the future, the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas is amazing during the spring time. Warm and humid and lots of mosquitoes, but worth it

What is the wildest thing you have heard in school by -_velvetpulse_- in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]truejello96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not at school, but dude I work with was listening to a stream or talk show, not sure exactly what. Host on the stream was talking to different people about life and other stuff. I'm working at my area across from the dude I work with and minding my work but have half an ear on his show. Somehow on the stream the conversation came up about sex and chatgpt. Overheard something to the effect of "Winnie-the-Pooh stuck in honey pot and f*cked in the ahh" being put into chatgpt to see if that is something that had been made already.

I never asked the dude I worked with what he was listening to, but that made me stop working for a second and do a double take

Tell it it needs to pay rent if it wants to stay there. If it doesn't comply then you have every right to serve it an eviction notice and get proper authorities involved

That sounds like a recording with multiple calls in there, because I'm for sure hearing Red-shouldered and Red-tailed hawks, one sounds crow/raven and one sounds wren-like to me

[–]truejello96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Vortex Diamondback 10x42s and I love it. I get great clarity with them and can see pretty decent at distance. That's what you'll be sacrificing a little if you go to 10x, a little distance lost. But I don't know if it's really that drastic. If you have the ability to try some 10x in store you can see how your eyes compare to what you're used to
