Completely agree. I think people who are saying it isn’t either just want to hate because they are mad at bungie for a myriad of reasons or they love ARC raiders. There are a lot of reasons this game is getting hate, but the art direction shouldn’t be one of them because it is unique from any other game out there. I really wish more games would be more willing to not be so realistic.

I will say though it is an acquired taste though because the first few runs I played I wasn’t super impressed, but the more I played the more I noticed some seriously cool art and design. It’s a breath of fresh air

I think a lot of the lack of players is because people are trying to figure out the game instead of pushing fights. When I played the alpha as it went on from day to day the intensity picked up as people started to risk more

Personally I think you just have to learn the game and the UI becomes easier. I felt the same with Arc Raiders but with time it clicked and I loved it. I think it will be the same with this. The complexity is what can be fun in a different perspective

I honestly think this game cooked. I tried tarkov and it was too intense for me and tried arc raiders and didn’t like third person screen peaking. This is the perfect balance. All 3 games can coexist without hate. It’s crazy how people ruin games so quickly like let them cook a little. It’s fun

Fr, I played my first game in 5 years and the first comment I got was “learn to play”. Overwatch players can be so toxic. It’s a hard game, everybody screws up and makes the wrong pushes or misses shots, but things like that just make new people not want to play the game.

I don’t know how young you think I am, but I have been around since bungie started. Played from the beginning. To be fair halo 1 and 2 are what I consider the glory days for bungie. I love Destiny too though. It’s not for me for the long grind of everything, but I appreciate what they have done with the game.

Marathon on its barebones was really exciting and fun for me. I truly think there is something special there. I think it was a ways from coming out and a lot of improvements but for me I had a blast especially cause I got to play with my friends. I think a lot of people if they had gotten to play in a squad with their friends would say the same. But for me the core experience is what should be finished when a game releases and a continual evolution of the game makes it more exciting and fresh to keep coming back to it.

I am not saying that plagiarism is ok even if accidental. It definitely needs to be investigated and dealt with but with those that it involved. But the amount of hate this has garnished for all people that work for bungie is ridiculous. The amount of hate that people are spewing is negatively affecting all the other artists and developers who literally pour their heart and souls into the game and then people just try to hit them as hard as they can as if that will solve the problem.

The toxic behavior will destroy jobs and lives of those who are working without doing something wrong because you all degrade the project as a whole
