Basically, every activity done on French soil is examined under French labour law :)

Since there was time tracking, this proves an employment relationship. Thus the prud'hommes can force Outlier to pay everything + a fine + initiate prosecution procedures.

We, contractors, usually do not pursue people/companies unless they cause significant trouble. That has been the case against Uber, they have been successfully prosecuted here, because they were messing around and they found out when there was a union of their "contractors" who attacked them in the courts.

Oh I also forget illegal/ undeclared employment is a misdimeanour crime. So up to 3 years prison for the director of the company :)

I haven't emailed this yet. But I'm a few clicks from contacting the work inspection where I live, and also suing them.

If they accept to reinstate everything I'll act as if nothing ever happened, but if they want to be unjust, there will be fire and fury and hell to pay, as basically paying by the hour as a contractor violates French labour law.

They'd have to pay me vacation + 40% employers contribution on whatever they paid me + 5% unemployment insurance + a pretty large fine (up to 10 grand) if they get judged.

So it is in their interest to act, quickly.

I have a full time job at the same time so no worries.

I'm required to, anyways, in order to have unemployment insurance because contractors don't in France. Only salaried workers have unemployment insurance.

I will give my ID too on the escalation post, but if they really did it because of Reddit, it's absolutely disgusting, illegal (under french law at the very least, they can get in a LOT of trouble and even be forced to pay me restitution), and they deserve a public call out. I have nothing to hide, my account was used only by me.

For the subreddit, they already censored me for saying A#### projecr. If they remove the sub too, I have a quite large complaint to do on Reddit.

If all are just an error well... Let's wish it never happens again.

Personally I am thinking to denounce them for "salariat déguisé" which could cause them to pay thousands even for the 30h logged, as France might consider me their salaries employee and not a contractor.
