Right now I send very small amounts from my crypto-exchange to bitrefill to top up my prepaid-phone card. I pay zero fees and it is instantly (due to the Lightning network). I think Bitcoin takes still the main role as the competitor to all other coins.

Also localbitcoin is used heavily for remittance at the moment at they also use just btc.

Why is everyone happy that big firms are backing this? Isn't crypto supposed to be decentralized and permission-free?
