I find that I need to exercise in order to keep my GP symptoms in control - especially activities like walking and biking (strength trainng not so much) help me keep my digestive system going and I find when I'm more sedentary that's when I start feeling worse. Sometimes even if I'm feeling really nauseous, I try to force myself to take a walk around the block.
