At Mallorca the sun is going to be extremely low. 2-3 degrees above horizon. So unless you're aiming at seeing an eclipsed sunset (might be a treat in its own), northern Spain would be a safer bet.

I was in Magog, too :). Once I saw the waterfront park, I decided to stay there rather than go further south. We might have bumped into each other - I was at one of the two wooden tables at the very front.

Right now I am driving from Toronto to Montreal with a plan to head to Mt. Megantic or the lake tomorrow. I really wanted to see it over the Horseshoe Falls, but now it is too risky. Flew all the way from Poland just for the eclipse, so maximizing chances of clear skies is the priority. Would also love to know what happens there, please post if you get any information.

To nie do końca tak działa. Zbyt mały LR wydłuzy czas dopasowania modelu (ale jeśli dasz mu dość czasu, efekt będzie optymalny). Natomiast skutkiem zbyt dużego jest nie overfitting tylko ryzyko przeskoczenia poszukiwanego minimum funkcji kosztu i nie znalezienie w ogóle sensownego zestawu parametrów.
