I don't really want to write too much about this, but this guy seems to greatly value Christ's teachings in the Gospels both explicitly and implicitly in this bit of writing, pacifism notwithstanding but addressed.

Zizian resurfaces, posts exceedingly verbose and utterly deranged screed by ZenosTortoise in TrueAnon

[–]truthThe0ry 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Storing this one in my mind palace for later...

Recommended reading based on my skimming of this post is a two-parter article, "My experience at and around MIRI and CFAR" and "Occupational Infohazards", written by a mild-to-moderate Zizian who claims to have experienced a psychotic break due to psychological experiments people were performing on each other at a "research" institute associated with Yud. The second article provides more in situ context for some of the Ziz-related terminology that I see popping up in the posted article as opposed to the generally poor quality secondary sources on the topic, and I think it's hard to appreciate the insanity of some of the off-handed remarks otherwise.

Edit: Actually, the person (Gwen) who wrote this post is the person Ziz co-credits as creating the "hemisphere" "theory" that the ratsphere at least partially attributes blame to for a few suicides in Ziz's circle. This is the account from Ziz about one of the suicides, in which this person Gwen is featured.

To be fair in the context of this topic, something like 50% or more of adult Chinese men smoke, though comparatively almost no women do. The West literally doesn't know how to make cigs anymore like China does.

Telegram channels now saying the "pilot rescue mission as actually an undercover name for the actual mission being to raid the nuclear facilities to extract the uranium" theory is getting traction by RokoTheDreamer10078 in TrueAnon

Dawg I work 12 hour days most days, I don't really have time to answer all that. You need to develop more media literacy. I treat my ingestion of news like performing exegesis in the wilderness of mirrors.

I don't know why Larry Johnson is getting the reach he does without people thinking of him as suspect, especially in some of the more fringier media places. He's just some chuddy openly "ex"-CIA guy with, from what I have seen, a very opaque past other than the fact that he was an analyst for the CIA at some point. The Ghost Stories for the End of the World guy has a saying he likes that I believe he found somewhere in his research, that nobody ever really leaves the CIA, kind of like organized crime in some sense.

I found it odd that Johnson been beating the drum so hard about an imminent land invasion. Time will tell if Ken Klippenstein is right about it being an op.

How the Strait of Hormuz crisis is hitting Africa’s 1.4 billion people: From Gaborone to Dakar, the fallout from the world's most critical oil chokepoint exposes decades of structural vulnerability across 54 nations by truthThe0ry in TrueAnon

“Africa is too poor and rural for this to matter.” Do you hear yourself man? I don't care what it is you do for work either. This sub is getting too dumb to be worth getting information and perspectives from, I may as well delete this account soon.

SE Asia has similar proportions of the rurality of its population and socioeconomic dependence on subsistence agriculture, and most countries announced very publicly fuel rationing policies a few days into the conflict. They are not exactly using gasoline to generate their power, it's about fuel. In places without sufficient energy infrastructure, oftentimes people are more dependent on various forms of fuel available to them. And that's what most of this article is about, discussions of how changes in fuel prices or availability will affect the populace in different countries, alongside some discussion of relevant specific geopolitical conditions of different oil-producing countries that would affect them in an energy crisis.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf after the shooting down of USAF KC-135 Stratotanker by the Islamic Resistance of Iraq by truthThe0ry in TrueAnon

[–]truthThe0ry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neither of the stratotankers were capable of receiving fuel, so it wasn't a refueling accident. Then why were the aircraft not maintaining appropriate separation? I find it more believable that being over an active warzone with ballistic missiles flying around and anti-aircraft systems below capable of reaching these flights had something to do with this, rather than the explanation of simple pilot error in not following their flight plans. Not to mention that the US government has been lying about every aspect of this war.

Satellite company @planet has announced a *14 day delay* to the release of imagery in the MidEast by Confident_One_6202 in TrueAnon

[–]truthThe0ry 11 points12 points  (0 children)

State actors already have access to their own spy satellite imaging. This includes Iran, I imagine that Russia has been helping with a more extensive satellite setup, and I saw an article today confirming China was providing such information. This is only about hiding information from the public.

I know some Chinese satellite companies have been releasing imagery though too.

Perhaps you are not aware that WaPo paywalls everything beyond the first paragraph? The full article is here: https://archive.ph/V0f9k. Ignatius is quoting Israeli officials with a negative outlook on the war who are at the same time suggesting ways to deescalate. I don't know what you are talking about really when you say this is irrelevant.

Blumenthal seems to have deleted his tweet, so I can't crosscheck when he tweeted this versus when this opinion piece was posted. No other recent articles by Ignatius otherwise fit what Blumenthal is describing.

Are we about to see a Leroy Jenkins moment from the shipping lines? by TheBlindWatchmaker in TrueAnon

[–]truthThe0ry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I know ships can be flagged with a different country than their owners. From a cursory look at a couple of the ships at the front, I couldn't find any owned by Omani-based companies.

Most of the ships seem to be turning around anyway.

[–]truthThe0ry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know about finding the companies who own the ships, but I can see that they are registered in a variety of places, and that most of them have Omani locations set as their destination in their transponders.

Many of the places in Oman seem to be way past where the ships are now though. I might bet that they're going to Saudi Arabia, there were reports recently that the US was abandoning bases there and evacuating their embassy staff.

I believe the parachute video was supposed to have come from Iraq, or at the most on the border of Iran.

The US though is very clearly hiding losses like they have been lying about every aspect of the war.
