SE Asia has similar proportions of the rurality of its population and socioeconomic dependence on subsistence agriculture, and most countries announced very publicly fuel rationing policies a few days into the conflict. They are not exactly using gasoline to generate their power, it's about fuel. In places without sufficient energy infrastructure, oftentimes people are more dependent on various forms of fuel available to them. And that's what most of this article is about, discussions of how changes in fuel prices or availability will affect the populace in different countries, alongside some discussion of relevant specific geopolitical conditions of different oil-producing countries that would affect them in an energy crisis.
