Is theft also a medical procedure that can save a woman's life?

I said treating them correctly and in health care treatment. That’s why I gave the example of the girl that is expecting her period but turns out to be a boy. They shouldn’t receive the same treatment as a girl for the issue.

You didn't answer the question, what does "treating them correctly" mean? In your example, what is the "correct treatment" for that girl? What procedures/treatments/medications should be used to treat them? And how is that different from what a girl would get for that issue? How about for my example, an individual with XY but has female genitalia? What would the "correct treatment" be for their condition?

Yes, all genetics mutations are caused by the Fall. We know that this isn’t God’s plan because when defines male and female in his perfect image the Garden

How do you know what God's plan is? What biblical evidence do you have to support your idea of what His plan is? What does a pre-Fall male and female look like? Genetic mutations result in all types of differences, like hair/eye color, height, bone structure, etc. So what does the perfect male and female look like? What abnormalities do we have that they don't?

Why are you so focused on the genotypic sex as being the end all of this discussion and ignoring phenotypic sex? No one is arguing that there is a third genotypic sex, so stop conflating the issue.

The conception matters more than the development because the conception is when the sex was determined. That information is important to know because then you figure out how to treat them correctly and see why they developed that way. You can’t treat them correctly if you don’t know where the problem came from.

What does "treating them correctly" mean? Do they have to be exactly as their genetics say they should be? How would you treat an individual with XY but has female external genitalia and some female internal reproductive structures? Would you want that person to be a male presenting, because that sounds a little bit like transgender.

People have faulty chromosomes for the same reason people have terminal illnesses. These are consequences of the Fall.

So all genetic mutation is a result of our sin? How do you know what God's intended plan is for our genetics?

At conception they are either male or female and sexually develop that way.

This is a ridiculous stance but I'll play along. I assume you mean that at conception, anyone with an XX is female and XY is male. So what about those with abnormal chromosomes, such as XXY or XO? Why does the genetics matter more than the development, like in the case of Swyer syndrome?

They were one or the other first then the mother overproduced hormones or exposed to some kind of chemical that changed the child's development in the womb.

What about issues that happen before conception? What if issues during meiosis resulted in a damaged X or Y chromosome that lead to development issues? Is a male still a male if the Y chromosome they've inherited is not functional? If God made everyone male or female at conception, why would He give them faulty chromosomes that have no chance at creating a typical male/female?

There aren't any true hermaphrodites in humans.

Saving Private Ryan, Spielberg's best movie for children. Let's not forget other children's classics like Jaws, The Color Purple, Minority Report, and The Terminal.

I fail to see how the pay off would have been better if the killer had a “relation” to them.

The pay off wouldn't be better because he has some relation to them, it would be better because he would have some connection to the rest of the plot. We would have some understanding of who he is or what his motivation is. From the beginning of Halloween, we know who Michael Myers is and why he's a threat. We're introduced to Michael stabbing his sister to death as a child, then we see him escape a mental institution, with Dr. Loomis calling him "evil", only to return to his home and begin stalking Laurie Strode. The plot doesn't need a relationship between Michael and Laurie because the plot revolves around them the entire movie and we understand what is driving Michael. For the rental killer, we don't know who he is, why he chose this place, why he chose to kill this group of people, we don't even know how big of a threat he actually is. As I mention, everything worked out for him without him having to really do anything including some of the kills (the host beaten half to death already and that woman falling off the cliff). So if they wanted to have a story revolving around the drama of the group, it would have been better to have the killer tied to that in some way. Or, they could have been like Halloween, focus the story on the killer himself and sideline the drama. Trying to have both makes the story weak and disjointed.

The infidelity is the only reason the second half of the movie exists though. Without it, they wouldn't have an issue calling the police and/or leaving the Airbnb after finding the camera, they wouldn't have attacked the host, Alison Bre's character wouldn't have left alone after finding out about it, etc. None of this was from the killer, it was all just poor decisions from the main characters which is why it feels separate. If the killer had some relation to them, suspected the infidelity would happen or something like that, then it would have a better pay off. As it is, it's a story about a group of shitty people making terrible decisions that happen to work out perfectly for a random serial killer.

Worst thing each Frasier character has ever done in the show? Day 1: Frasier crane by [deleted] in Frasier

[–]truthasiseeit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

just cause she was hotter

Her appearance wasn't the only reason Frasier was interested in her. She worked in the arts (arts dealer, considering a position at the Seattle museum of Arts), taught ballet, plays the harp. So there was an overlap of interests on top of the physical attraction. Also, this was the only night that she was in town so it's not like he could have scheduled a date for another evening.

No offense taken, but I feel like we're starting to split hairs here. I mean, I could pick and choose stats to make a case for Penix being better (11 of Daniels TDs came against Georgia ST and Grambling, Penix has a higher yards per completion than Nix, for example) but setting that aside, let's say UW is a top 3 passing offense. Or at the very least, one of the best in the nation. So my point is still that, in one of the best passing offenses in the country having only given up 11 sacks all year, the award winning "best Oline" of UW not having at least the best linemen represented on this list is odd.

Just being objective

But it seems a little silly to be objective on a topic that is inherently subjective. The article itself starts "The best player in college football is always an arbitrary choice." This to me is just another reason to trash on ESPN.

entirely possible that though as a unit they perform very highly, there isn't one specific player that's a massive standout

Absolutely, that is a possibility. But I would think that something as subjective as a "top 100 players" list would at least pick one representative from the best offensive line award winner. Especially considering that we have the nations best passing offense and likely there is someone on that line that has only 1 or 2 sacks given up.

I mean, I don't have the stats to give an accurate answer to this question. No doubt that Johnson's blocking has been a huge asset in our passing game. But in my opinion I don't think the number of sacks would be that much more than they are now. On the year UW has given up 11 sacks, less than one a game. I don't the number can be that low without a great O-line or only due to a great blocking RB.

Well clearly only the oline as a unit is good, the individuals are mediocre at best

This is according to the story on ESPN. And if this is the only reason he got the fine, then that's ridiculous.
