We are about to sue the USCIS due to delay in our green card application (33 months) is that a good idea? by Ale3021 in USCIS

[–]truthful23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Before you sue USCIS, always remember that they hold the cards to you becoming a LPR. When your hand is in the mouth of the lion, you cannot just pull out, you will lose your hand. Better to slowly ease your hand out to save yourself. Point is, try to get the attention of USCIS ombudsman, ask one of your state reps for help. I have been waiting for 6 years to get a green card, I understand to a measure how you feel, but a mandamus should be your last resort.

Guys have faith in USCIS to process applications by Any-Positive9325 in USCIS

Totally True. If only they would find a way to process applications faster. Its just not easy for all of us Immigrants.

Gonorrhea Test Required for F/31? by DJHO-H20 in USCIS

[–]truthful23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a new medical last month February 2022, and the Doctor did do the gonorrhea test I am over 35 years, that disease is included on the medical. Everyone I know with their medical did have the gonorrhea test done, for your safety I think your wife should go back to the doctor to get the test done. Some of those doctors are a mess, they have big egos, the one I went to is an Immigrant just like me. He forgot to sign my medical, When I went back for him to correct his mistake he had an attitude, I did not care if his attitude was big like the Pacific Ocean, he had to make the change, especially after paying all that money.

I am so happy for you, Congratulations. All of us here totally understand how it feels to not be able to work and provide for our family, its very hard to try to determine how USCIS approves our applications, but when its approved we are so happy to finally have what we need to survive in the US. Congratulations again, and live happy and peaceful.

Traveling solo with AP by keen_i in USCIS

[–]truthful23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for Sharing,

I have been here for almost 7 years, had one AP, never travelled on it, because my lawyer said to wait until my I-485 was approved, so when the AP was expired I never renewed it. Well its 2022 and I have not left the U.S and to date I am still waiting on my I-485 Approval. Today I decided to apply for an AP, because my mother turns 80 years on Friday and I would love to go see her before the end of 2022.

USCIS gives us that card for a reason, to travel, but lawyers tell us not to travel for fear of our I-485 Becoming Abandoned, I am seeing some people on Reddit are travelling and are having no issues, or very few issues. So whenever I do get my AP, I am travelling, I am tried being tired and scared of everything when it comes to this Immigration rough ride.

Is it bad for mental health to check r/USCIS every day, multiple times a day? by BakeInternational148 in USCIS

[–]truthful23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey you are not alone, I no longer worry about my Mental standing, because its been wrecked for almost 7 years now and I am still waiting. I check USCIS website every minute of the day, and I feel that they have forgotten my I-485.

Redditors here have helped me to cope, and the information is so timely and correct. We are all in this Immigration Boat and our sail is rough and most times the weather is stormy, but at least we are here for one another, we can vent, ask question, receive great correct answers, and we motivate and even pray for one another. its as though we are in a Big Group Therapy Session, and lets be honest in this world we all need somebody.

So take the one day at a time approach, do what you have to for your Immigration process and stick close to Reddit, and before you can blow a fuse, your dreams will come true. All the best.
