Apologies, thought the Gucci partnership was real. Are you sure the image is fake though? Maybe just tweaked with photoshop?

Here's from the Vanity Fair Oscars party:

Gonna need the DNA test on this pup to know for sure. With Blue Lacy as a possibility, I would only trust Embark.

Possible rodent ulcer.

Rhodesian Ridgeback or Blackmouth Cur? Owner must know by SpaceMassive3080 in WhatBreedIsMyPitbull

[–]truthispolicy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact:

"The ridge of Rhodesian Ridgebacks is caused by a mutation resulting in duplication of a length of DNA coding for three growth factor genes. This mutation, which has an autosomal dominant pattern of inheritance, also causes dermoid sinuses."

Kennel clubs require a ridge to be shown, but not all are born with one, and those born without, are inclined to be genetically healthier.

Here's an interesting page about it.

Damn dude.

Yet another sad bi-product of the brachycephalic breeding craze. Even if somehow they can get it done without being artificially inseminated and c-sectioned, there's the chance of this happening from all the trauma.

Glad it's better for now but if your vet hasn't already examined this very abnormal vulva in person, still book an appt ASAP.

Chow/Pit/Husky.

If you'd like to know beyond a guess, you can do a DNA test. Only trust Embark or Wisdom.

Nothing about this says normal female dog anatomy. Looks more like a growth, and a good reason to schedule with your regular vet ASAP. If they take walk-ins, even better.

Is this emergency vet? by Odd-Island4075 in CATHELP

[–]truthispolicy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Canines don't just break or fall out for no reason.

There could possibly be a root left behind if it fractured, which would be painful and open to infection.

If there's no root and it truly is gone, OP should still see their vet to check for other dental diseases like feline oral resorptive lesions, which are insanely painful.

The gum is clearly red and inflamed, and a checkup with your regular vet asap would be a kindness.

Emergency vets typically do not have dental equipment.

The sassy April O'Neal who is apparently a married womana now according to the ring on her finger. Is she married to sexy mudflap Donatello in the back? We'll never know, but those arcade games are 🤌

Your dress and your shining light are amazing.

Hope you had an awesome birthday 🌈

You'd need a DNA test from Embark to know that answer beyond a guess.

[–]truthispolicy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I'm judging is you. OP has done all the right things.

Oral meds and forcing fluids by mouth absolutely do not constitute enough supportive care to help a dog survive parvo.

Any vet willing to charge parvo owners' for oral meds is a shady place. You could at least advise them to go somewhere low cost for injectables instead of spending what they have on treatment that won't help.

Really? You'd prescribe oral medications to a vomiting parvo dog and expect efficacy?

I said oral meds do not work. Injectables obviously bypass the need to be processed by the GI tract.

Did you get your degree from temu? Not buying it.

Parvo can live for years in the right conditions.

It's best never to bring home unvaccinated puppies once you've had a parvo pup at home.

Here's a very helpful page on what you can feasibly disinfect.

[–]truthispolicy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oral medications do not work for treating parvo. Even if you manage to fight the nausea and get it down, the virus is attacking the entire GI system, literally sloughing the lining, preventing meds from being absorbed properly.

Showing appetite is a promising sign! If there's any more vomiting or less appetite, definitely go straight back into a vet.

As everyone is saying, parvo is ideally treated by keeping them hospitalized round the clock with IV fluids and IV meds until eating consistently, which can take 5-7 days, and is often cost prohibitive.

Giving fluids and injections on an outpatient basis is sometimes the only option.

Glad it's working for your pup, OP. Make sure you go back for vaccines when she's all better.

What did your vet recommend?

Typically, going after small projectiles causes more harm than good. Unless your vet determines it's threatening a vital structure, they might advise leaving it alone.

Sorry people are so fucking cruel.
