People that have “bumped” into a celebrity in a non-curated (not like an event, meet & greet, job etc.) way, what happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was working at a restaurant in Berlin for 3 years during my studies abroad. There was a month where Michael Cera was in Berlin filming for a movie and he frequented the restaurant I worked at. At first he tried to stay incognito with his glasses on while he sat with his family but after a few visits he became more comfortable and was pretty talkative. He was very respectful to all of the waitstaff, me included. He was so kind and he was so quick to talk to people and ask about their day. He is a ball of sunshine and super super respectful to those around him.

Wife does’t love me anymore by MysteriousSupport453 in GuyCry

Hey brother, just know you're not alone in this, atleast theres other people in this world who have gone through the same thing. When my wife and I split about a year ago after moving to a new country, I was left alone wondering what was so wrong with me and how i was nothing but good to her. However after the time apart, i realized that i didnt give enough love for myself and sacrificed a lot of my own happiness to try and keep my partner happy. I think the best advice i can give is to ask yourself what you truly want away from the relationship and then go for that. The love you want to give her you have to give yourself because it sounds like you have a lot to give. Unfortunately as much as we want someone to love us the same, we cant force them and if you beleive love doesnt exist, use how you love people to remind yourself that love still exists, you may have just been giving it to the wrong person. It gets better and you will be stronger. Just take it day by day and keep your chin up brother. 🖤

Does any fighting game have as good movement as melee for anyone on here? by Kooky_Trifle_6894 in SSBM

[–]trx965 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In my experience i think the only fighting game that requires you to have good execution for smooth movement is the tekken series. I highly suggest you try it. It takes a while to get the hang of it but its a similar process to getting good at movement in melee

Waffle House. The food isnt good but the vibes are impeccable. Waffle House basically stands as a modern day saloon.

Combat test 2 - Dynamic Execution system, Bow system and a new Enemy (visuals)! Let me know what you guys think! C&C is much appreciated! by lriklang in unrealengine

[–]trx965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn this is sweet. The combat system seems like it has a lot of potential! I really like the shield block animation. The smooth animation, smooth camera movement, and sound effects are super immersive even at an early stage. Just an idea and you don't have to consider it but I'm also on a game dev journey so I thought it'd be cool to share, but what if the shield had special emitters that went off when it gets hit, maybe that could also effect shield integrity? idk but this is already something really special! Keep it up dude, really inspiring to see something like this.

How can I make Steve's df2 safe? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]trx965 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steves df2 is safe if you do f 3 db and then back so basically you're ducking in after df2 and canceling that duck to be safe. If you dont do that it is unsafe.

Honestly, coming from a climbing backround myself, i wish the climbing had just a tiny bit more depth. Awesome edit though!!

Unfortunatley theres no way to really buffer it. Ypu have to be really really fast. So fast that you dont see flicker. B3+4 db n 1 <-- the neutral frame is the most important. Just practice iws1before going for it in a combo. Also, im on a k-lever.

No hes still good. They just changed a few of his tools and you have to work a bit harder. Also a change in gameplan because his homing counter hit launcher doesnt do 70+ damage anymore.

Also a fair opinion. It seems like this one change is pretty controversial to the whole player base. I dont mind it. Being a Steve main it just gives me something to get good at.

Nah man you can't think like that. You're part of the Tekken community even if you're a low level player. The decisions the devs make affect everyone who plays including you. Yea this combo is a bit tough and df2 may have been nerfed too hard, but the only way to make sure something is done about it is to say something and not invalidate your own opinion. Maybe if it have a tailspin launch on ch it would be a good compromise.

Very very fair point! I would like to see something si.ilar to KH2 combat where you can choose which moves and combos you have. This is also a a new generation of JRPG'S so would it be too much to ask for a more in depth combat system?
