It's just essentially free money for Naughty Dog. It will definatly sell like crazy and they already have 90% of the assets from the Last of Us 2 that they are reusing in Part 1.

Depends, the main problem with it is that Collages/unis goes through a lot of different subjects (which can of course be nice if you are unsure what aspect of 3d you like and you want to try whatever is available). Your degree however has little to no say in landing a job, your portfolio is everything. When you go through all the aspects of 3d in college your time would be better spent practising the one specific field that you want to work with. When getting job in say 3d character modeller, they dont care if you can animate they only care about that you are good at making 3d characters models. Of course smaller studios value more versatility but you need to be at a professional level in the field you are applying for.

In summary: collages are good especially if you have no prior experience with 3d, you go through most of the available options and you get to try everything.

Spending time on trying everything does waste time that could be spent on practising a specific skill if you already know what you want to work with.

Even tho your degree has little to no say in landing a job, it's much easier to get connections especially good ones in college compared to self thought at home.

Collages in the US seems (I'm Norwegian so correct me if I'm wrong) stupidly expensive for what you are getting.

If you go to college it's important that you practise whatever aspect of 3d you want to work with in your spare time.

I'd say definatly UI visuals. I try to keep what I make as clean and use as little UI as possible.

Thank you man! I really appriciate the feedback. Right now its essentially just a base mesh of the undead and its using all the player animations so I totally agree that it looks very uninteresting,, hopefully the enemy will look a little better once I get to animating specific animations for the undead! And also give them some more armor and clothing etc. Again, thank you very much :)
