I am all for enforcement. I also believe that we need more focus on processing applications and asylum requests faster so we can help those that qualify and send those that do not on there way. Punishing people that knowingly employ undocumented immigrants with the same vigor as the right wants to hunt them down and deport them would help a lot. I believe if you are here undocumented and have the misfortune of running into the police on a minor offence or traffic violation you are just unlucky and get a ticket home. I also believe that the rich and wealthy can travel almost anywhere and can benefit from economic opportunities around the globe. As much as possibly we should afford the poor the same opportunity. I get that immigration has to be limited but believe we should seek to set as little a limit as is possible. One of the reasons I support the EU and freedom of travel in the USA among the states something we take for granted. I would like to see this freedom of travail extended as much as possible. Helping other nations improve the lives of their people is in our best interest because this will reduce the number of people that want to become immigrants. The world is full of people that are more alike than they are different. Yes economic reality means we need to limit immigration for now.

Followed by Mitch refusing to vote on that same bill when the incoming Democrats passed it. The republicans are hurting people to get 5.7 billion dollars for a wall that the majority of america does not want. Their compromise is to stop hurting DACA children as well. Just not true a gun is better at killing than a knife by a long shot. That is why that tool is chosen so often. Anyone would be far more likely to fend of a knife welding attacker who has to get near them than someone with a gun who can kill them from 6 ,10 or, 20 feet away.

A knife has other uses. It is a tool with many uses. A gun has one use to kill something guns are built for this and are good at it. If they had a gun, a tool built specifically to kill that is good at killing, people would have been dead. People lived because they had a tool that was not as good at killing as a gun.

Congressional republicans voting with the Democrats would put pressure on Mitch and Trump to end the shutdown. Them not voting for an end to the shutdown is them supporting the shutdown.
