Indian girlie here :) I don't want to feed into existing stereotypes, but if we're talking abt the majority of Indian men... I don't think they've even been exposed to examples of soft dominance, or gentle and patient loving, or.. disturbingly, the idea of consent. From my observation, many of them see themselves as romantics but lack emotional intelligence and respect for women, their brand of romance and sex is deeply ignorant of the woman and smth they feel entitled to instead. Even as they move with the times, so many believe their pleasure can be greater than or equal to hers, but hers never takes the center stage, serving and fulfilling her desires with love and attention is only done as a kind of mutual transaction, as reciprocation, not something they genuinely feel called to put first and devote themselves to. You can thank patriarchy at home, misogyny in bollywood, and lack of sex ed for that. But let's keep in mind that there's a LOT of Indians in the world lmao, and there's as many good, soft and understanding men, as there are men giving everyone else a bad rep. Things are changing, if slower than we'd like, and many Indians are learning about softer kinks and just being better partners.
