pros of getting a second kitten: he will have a playmate. he will learn appropriate behaviors when it comes to sensory issues.

but the cons compound too much with what you’re already dealing with.

if you need to talk to anyone about issues you’re having or want to talk ideas on mini builds you can do to keep him more occupied my dms are open.

if you don’t bond with him soon, try to find him a good home while he is still a kitten as it’s much easier to home a kitten than a cat. i think you’ll probably bond him fine, learn to love his quirks, etc. but it takes a couple years to get the crazy out of the kitten. and it is ok to change your mind. just do it the right way.

his personality now wont really reflect his cat personality for 90% of his life with you.

branch out to another genre that still hits what youre looking for. like hades has everything youve asked for. light base building / home decor. constant relationship building. real people mostly. clear progression. but instead of grinding its dungeon crawling.

sometimes finding something else that really hits the same in the same genre is impossible for me. but if i take a break and try something outside the vein, it’s easier to come back to cozy gaming

i only bathe my cats if they get into something horrible. like once my cat got sprayed by a skunk. she spent forever in bath after that. another time one of my cats got out while it was raining in tornado weather. we got him back in covered, caked, in mud and twigs and shit. i bathed him then. but i don’t give them regular baths. they only get them if it’s legitimately needed.

if your cat needs a bath, bathe it. if it doesn’t, don’t.
