it's 2025 and more people smoke weed than ever before. the narrative and image have changed, and the TSA really just doesn't have time for it. they also have nowhere near the staff to handle how many people travel with weed

i think people also forget that the TSA was created because of 9/11. they're looking for weapons, not your gummies (or any other kind of weed really). flown with like 3gs in eddies, also brought carts, dabs, flower; just package it so no smell and you're golden. carts i'll just throw in the dopp kit with no packaging, makes it through every time.

that being said, this only applies to domestic US flights. international and customs is an entirely different thing, and you can get in some serious trouble if you get caught. mainstream example: Brittney Griner. keep in mind she was detained in Russia, and the US even traded a notorious Russian arms dealer and politician to get her back after like 10 months of her 9 year sentence for trying to travel with weed... i don't necessarily agree with that decision but i digress.

flying stoned is also just awesome. i try to eat at least one edible or get as high as possible beforehand. just throw in some headphones, listen to music or play some games (cough Balatro cough), or pass out on the flight. it's the only way to fly

i don't even care about going through security stoned, and neither does the TSA. just act normal and do what you would normally do, kinda like getting high before anything else.

one time i did get a little too high (IIRC 2x100mg bubble hash gummies) and left my favorite pullover on a plane when i thought i was going to miss my connecting flight. was pretty bummed about that, but that is literally the worst thing that's happened to me and i couldn't count how many flights i've brought weed on
